another piston thread, which option to choose

well need to make a decision. piston #1 has let go(ringland or piston, don't know yet).

choice #1 is to replace pistons with a set of forged pistons and replace timing chain and all seals and gaskets etc.

choice #2 buy a complete sealed from factory ldk with a zfr on it from zzp.

now, either way, I'm going to have to pay for someone to do either job. just want opinions on which way to go. I plan on selling my current set up if I go the ldk route, which will include a 55k mile motor with Hahn 20g and stock turbo. I have 2k already set aside and plan on having the rest by july or so.

it just depends on how soon you want to get this done, how much you want to pay, how far you want to take your car...etc...

First choice is cheaper route: slap some wiseco's on there and aforementioned gaskets (i'd use arp headstuds though). Second choice IMO is the most fun just because racecar...

I have a LDK block with .090 sleeves getting hones for Wiescos right now. Way stronger than a sleeved LNF block. Message me if interested

Sorry about the bad luck. I would make decision off what your realistic end goal is going to be for the car.
