Any street driven LNF's in the 10's?

As the former owner of a 10 second Mustang, it was not a rare thing to come across another one of similar speed and power. With the LNF Cobalts however I have not heard of anybody breaking into the 10's.....even high 11's....or even low 12's.

Now I have never even seen another LNF cobalt on the road, but are there any LNF powered cars out there be it a cobalt, sky, etc. that has made it to that into the 10 sec range and can still be driven on the street?

Just curious.

Yeah, possibly low 11's. I don't think I'd want to be in the 10's and still be street driven, then you have to put in all this bs (roll cage, etc).

how many mustangs were in the 10's within a few months of them coming out?

give it time man. there's barely any parts for the car yet. but honestly doubt a whole lot will get in to the 10's. most people on this site are young, and buying a cheap car that's fairly quick and easy to mod. most of the people get to the point where they just say **** it and buy something else to make fast.

Honestly, I dont think young has anything to do with it. I bought the car because I liked the Cobalt, but wasnt gonna purchase a S/C one when I knew the T/C ones were coming out. I also own an 05 Mustang GT that is modded. I'm only 23, which I think is still young and my Wife is 27 and we have tons of money to put into the cars, but we rather do upgrades on our house or put money away for the future and for vacations. Some people put money into their cars, some into other things they like and some like to save. Hell my 19 year old Brother has an 05 SRT-4 that he has already modded more than my Cobalt and Mustang together and he still has money left, but is also thinking of getting a DD so he can build the SRT-4 and have the DD for that reason.

I would put all that money that you have and be wise to put it into your house or save. Why throw away money putting it into your cars. Just my 2 cents.

Don't get cocky about parading the fact you and your brother have lots of money. sighs

many people on this site are like 16-17 and their parents won't let them mod their car... or, their parents bought the car and won't let them mod it like that for warranty reasons. that's what I meant.

There are a few cobalts running quicker then 10 seconds (Jason W. comes to mind)...but of course those are FWD blown 4 banger ECOTecs with automatic transmissions...Oops, did I use automatic transmission in the same sentence with "faster than 10 second Cobalts". Those guys are not very smart are they...wouldn't they be faster with lighter and better geared manual transmissions?:

they are looking more for consistancy than higher speed. an auto will always be more consistant than a manual. you're also talking about highly built transmissions, not like what you would find in a cobalt. if you can't understand the difference, and can't understand why using that argument is absolutely rediculous, then you shouldn't be making the statment. some people can't understand that, so they make silly statements like this.

and pretty sure jason, and none of the "fast" cobalts are "blown".

Yea right, they aren't going for speed

Maybe they are wanting to keep a transmission in the car for more than a couple of runs.

Couldnt Agree more.

Have any of you guys even tried to drive a 400WHP FWD car??? Its pretty damn tough and 400WHP is probably good for HIGH HIGH 11's. You would need 500-550WHP and RWD for a Cobalt to run a 10.99

Jason W likes wasting money.

He probably has 150,000 In his Cobalt. Most Cobalt owners cannot afford 10K worth of mods much less 15X that.

put it this way

u will NEVER be able to say these things in the same sentence when talking about ur car.

10 second, DD, 4cyl.

its the truth.

and before everyone goes off on me abt the 10 second honda they saw at the track, think for a sec if its really a DD.
