I would run a 60/40 or 70/30 mix of meth to water in your situation Reign...

I'll be doing a 80/20 or maybe 90/10 mix mainly becuase I don't need the cooling but need the extra fuel with the 2871r

being extreeeeeemmmmlyyyy flammable.

hows ur tune for it? 100% meth makes ur car very rich. and ultimatly need to reduce fueling. since pure methanol is tech a type of fuel. ur switching one fuel for another.

Is this the way you hooked yours up?

I'm trying to understand the kit works.

So if I

Yes that's how it work and that's the kit I bought. And you will need to retune the whole car with the meth kit I don't know if trifecta has a tune out for it though. I have hpt so I increased my timing a little, meth also riches the car out when spraying so I leaned it out a little when the meth kicks on.
A few things. 5-7 gph is too big. How much power are you really running? I used to use a 6 gph nozzle on a Labonte progressive injection system on a Legacy GT with a Blouch Dominator 3 (GT 30 in a Subaru fitment). That nozzle was enough for 400 whp. More is not better. If you use a progressive system, it's hard to get a consistent spray during transition periods. I had an 8 gph nozzle in there for a while, and found that it wouldn't spray consistently sometimes.

Also, it is imperative that you tune. If you run WI without tuning, there's a good chance you'll be running way too rich, and may very well be losing power. Either that, or you are going to confuse the ECU, and it will be doing awful things to attempt to compensate.

There are 2 other things that come to mind, and why I haven't considered running meth on this car. First is that this engine loves to run hot. Don't know if cooling it down by an extra 200-300F EGT will be good for it. Secondly, doesn't this car always run in closed loop? I'm not sure it will be easy to account for the extra fuel from the WI system.

Datalog, datalog, datalog. Whatever tune you get might look fine for dyno runs, but it might suck on the street or road course with long transition periods.

Even if you get it tuned. Don't even think about cheapening out and running without a fail safe!!!

The Labonte was good, but if I had to do it all over again, I would go with Aquamist HFS-6.

Snow Performance injection kits IMO are probably the best kit out there right now. They are also the most expensive. If we were to do this kit for the LNF, it would probabaly come with the CoolingMist kit.

http://www.coolingmist.com

They are very affordable and I know a lot of the BMW guys use them. They also have a lot of the safety features that you can buy for those who wants piece of mind.

umm $4 a gallon and i waste a gallon a week and race fuel station is 15 minutes away. i mean i know we are in a recession, but damn maybe you shouldnt buy a meth kit in the first place. im not just looking for the cooling mod i need the extra fuel. with the 16g i need all the fuel i can get.

wang speed of course water is btr cooling than meth. bc meth is adding fueling and timing. water is to cool it town. hence running more meth than water usually especially with the 91 octane we have out here

and I talked to devils own personally. they said 5-7 GPH was perfect
