Bad News...Need Help/Advice
ok so i went to the strip today to see what my sedan could do, after my first run of only boosting 15psi(due to shitty trifecta tune) i turned my car off in the staging lanes, then i proceeded to start the car and it started fine, then i gave it gas and i said "service esc", "service traction", and "engine power reduced" so i was like wtf!! maybe a freak thing, well we reset the codes, battery and ECU like 10 times, and check all the sensors, i had 2 codes, one for IAT voltage low(was reading a temp of -40 as per my dashhawk) and second was throttle position sensor low voltage.....so as of now my car is in LIMP mode as hell and we dont know whats wrong with it, any ideas?? it was running fine before the track and if i clear everything it idles a little rich but no CEL's only when i step on the gas foes it pop the CEL's
idk an exact fix right off the batt but i have had problems with tune flashing before and if you dont see any broken stuff like wires, intercoolers or cp then i would give it a simple reflash back to whatever you had and if it runs fine then there is a flash error in your last ecu load.
good luck hope its easy to find and fix

Joe can you post up the exact code numbers again, I can't recall what they were, might help a bit.
Best case scenario it's a bad flash or loose connection. Worst case its a blown sensor, throttle body or ECU.
Hope you get this figured out today man, keep us updated.
Did u check the t.b connector. .. And. The t.b should be able to reach 100% values have u made a pid for it....... Hptuners meaning. And reflash the car with the previous flash and see if it goes away and do a full write...

alright so we reflashed the tune and it didnt work, then the car threw a code for the actual pedal position sensor!! so we cleared it and it still had the IAT sensor code too, so it still threw it again, so we decided to put the stock charge pipes back on it and take off my dejon pipes with my HKS and we flashed a stock/mild trifecta tune just so it didnt throw a code for my downpipe. so now the car is still having the same exact problems it had before just now it has a different tune and no bov and aftermarket charge pipes, and its running rich as ****, im going to drop it off at the dealership tomorrow night for warranty work and i will keep you guys posted as to what happens
btw i only have 12000 miles on my car lol

Email Vince. I had problems before with misfires and the Service ESC light coming on and some other ****. He related it somehow to misfire detection or something like that. I don't remember right now, I'm drunk.
Either way, Vince fixed it for me, Email him, haha.
Or try switching back to the stock tune if you haven't already.

I told him I say it is the maf sensor po102 perhaps he says circuit low doesn't give the exact code? IAT1 temp is in the maf and dashawk reading -40 degree IAT1 temps. Then whacks the tps sensor. I may be wrong though just guessing have to see what dealer finds. Looks like evo, gti, ss/sc, ss/tc all go into limp mode with maf cel pretty common problem.
P0102 Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Circuit Low Frequency ECM
If the MAF sensor detect any amount of air outside the parameters, it thinks that the Throttle is not in the right position, so it goes into "limp mode" and re-calibrates the Throttle Position Sensor.
P0101 Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Performance ECM
P0102 Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Circuit Low Frequency ECM
P0103 Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Circuit High Frequency ECM

i appreciate the info matt, but car isnt throwing a MAF code just one for the IAT Sensor low voltage, and the Throttle position sensor/pedal position sensor
Hey called an Engineer from Michigan I used to work with it is in the maf he says -40 temp means open circuit either in the harness or the maf itself but if all the maf and the plug and harness tests pass it can be the ECU- Sorry i don't know all that I was a GM Engineer in HVAC -The codes for that intake air temp sensor in the maf are po110,po112,and code po113

not sure, i believe its sensor 1 because the dashhawk doesnt read IAT2, it says N/A, but were it says -40 it just says IAT which makes me believe its sensor 1, im taking it to the dealership here in like an hour so hopefully ill hear something back by tomorrow morning time frame

alright guys, heres an update, first the dealership tried to tell me it was some wires in the MAF that were causing the problem and they wanted to not fix it under warranty because of my K&N intake, but they werent 100% sure, so i called GM and got them involved and blah, so i told them to fixx it and later that day i got a call saying.......
it wasnt the MAF what so ever, it was the BCM, some pin got bent or something and it wasnt getting a good connection, so they replaced the BCM and walah!!! she runs like new, i havent had her run this good in a loooooonnnnnggggg time, im pretty excited, and they fixed it under warranty!!!! so ya that was the problem lol maybe it was a freak issue? idk maybe it was causing all the fuel trim problems i have been having too?? who knows, anyways just wanted to update you guys on the situation.
