I'm in the market for an exhaust for my SS/TC. I used to have a XTC Catless Downpipe and Megan Racing Catback when I had my 2.4L. It was crazy ridiculous loud. I want something a little quieter, but still has good sound. Any suggestions?
do you want a full catback? Cuz I have a 3" Borla XR-1 welded in place of my stock muffler. That plus a catless downpipe sounds perfect imo. You can barely hear it at highway speeds.

If you want a full exhaust though go with Modern Performance.

I personally have the Hahn catback with a Catted DP, and it's perfect for me b/c I don't want something that draws attention or makes me a cop magnet when I get on it hard. My buddy has the MPX catback with a Catted DP and his is just a tad louder than mine. They are both great and with a Catless DP i'm sure it will be even more agressive sounding.
I hwve full hahn exaust[. Downpipe from a super20g to the 3inch stainless catback. With the resonator delete. Sounds amazing new is 799 ill let it go (catback) for 400. I'm lowered on eibach sportlines. And I don't have isss with the exaust hitting
QUOTE=northvibe;5334632]the hahn seems to have an issue of banging on the torsion beam if you are lower than stock ride height. so Ya if you are lowered and like banging metal its a good noise

My Hahn used to hit the beam. I'm on Pedders. I flattened the exhaust a bit in that area. I still hit if the car is heavily loaded, or I go over a big enough speed bump. Oh yeah, I also put a worm clamp around the rubber hanger closest to the beam. This brought the exhaust upwards for more clearance.
It grazes my rear bumper a little, but since the exhaust tip is double walled, it doesn't get hot enough to cause any melting. Most people probably won't have this issue, but I have a sedan, and the cutout is different.

in 4 or 5 months, once i come home from iraq, im putting dual outlet exhaust on my ss/tc. once i do that ill post up some vids and whatnot. i have the slp dual loudmouth for the ss/sc. im just going to get the flange changed. same diameter piping as stock so shouldnt cause any problems. however i also am thinking about just taking the slp exhaust to a shop and saying "i want you to make me one of these with 3" piping."
catless down pipe and no muffler.....cheapest and sounds great!

its all good at first but that loud **** gets really old really fast, i had straight pipe for about 3 months and i could barely hear my damn radio let alone myself think, so i got a mpx catback. still the same performance as straight pipe without all the noise.
mines a little more quite than a tc with a 3in catless, im catless but on stock dpipe..i cut the back cat off and beat out the remaining cat....
