Are you tuned? You're pegging out the MAP sensors.

Nevermind, I Just read your sig. You're pegging out the MAP sensor.

Yeah usually it will come back after a little while but sometimes it doesn't if you're above ~22.5psi too long.

To fix this disconnect and reconnect either the battery or the ECU itself. This will reset the ECU and it will begin calculating boost again. When somebody connects to your car with Trifecta or HPT it will also fix the gauge.

OK i still have the trifecta cables, so if i plugged in and did like a code search think it would fix it? if i disconnect the ecu will it erase my tune or **** with my warranty?

Yeah the code reader may work.

Disconnecting the ECU will not erase the tune. It didn't when you were stock either. The tune is in memory inside the ECU that is similar to a thumbdrive, that doesn't go away when it doesn't have power. It's actually suggested to reset the ECU after doing mods so the ECU can adjust to them too.

Don't worry, you'll be fine.

this is not always true when i had my car tuned by bcp did hard 1st to second nls and it would come on and the boost guage never came up again from my rpd this happened twice . went to the dealer twice and blew the map sensor. basic fix would be stg 2 map sensor and dont nls anymore

Stage 2 map sensor? I had this a few times a while ago, but not recently and my car's definitely pulling harder and holding higher boost then it was. I'm spiking to 23.5PSI and holding 22.5PSI solid at WOT in warm weather. I only got the problem when I was spiking to 25PSI and then dropping to 21PSI.

Just because a car has a stored fault doesn't mean the sensor is bad. Clear the codes, and try again. Like BYT running a lot of boost and not killed a sensor yet.

A key cycle (also pop open the drivers door) always fixes my RPD when it says NO DATA, but YMMV

I agree with this guy ^ lol

Ive had it show NO code and blank, then reset with my handheld scanner and the RPD suddenly is back to life. Ive also had it where it did throw a code and just needed a reset

That's what I've been saying. Just give the ECU a "e-bump" and it'll usually wake up.

Try turning the car on and off. Take the key out in between also, open/close the door. Helped another time this happened

Just saying you can wake up the ECU by doing one of the things we've said.

Yeah, I've been running up to 25.5psi with no MAP issues so far. I guess some just tend to go out easier than others maybe.

In that case (when you're getting codes) I'm leaning away from being able to simply reset it.

yea, when i reset it, it just pops back up so it has to be the sensor thats why i bought it. i did do this thing called a vacuum tank bypass which might have caused it. if so ill be putting the tank back asap!!

You'll throw a code for overboost and go into limp mode.
