Boost leak check question

If I test for a boost leak, I just take the hotside pipe off where it connects to the turbo and pressurize it from there, right? Do I do anything with the other end that is connected to the TB?

Oh, it connects to the intake side? And leaving the coldside connected to the TB is how its supposed to be?

I took the hotside charge piping off and pressurized from there, i didnt go thro the turbo, dont know if that would be a good thing. I even made a little pvc pipe thing with 1/4" inlet to run my compressor into, its neat, there are instructions for similar ones on here. Dont pressurize more than you boost obviously, so make sure you have it regulated.

OK so just to clarify, the cold side stays connected to the TB, right?

I also capped off the valve cover vent with a little plug. It leaks and if your looking for a leak it throws you off and doesnt allow you to hold pressure for very long.
