BOV issues
BOV issues
I just hooked up my HKS Blow off valve and for some reason it doesn't seem to be releasing air and it's definitely making no tone/sound. I'm running with the BPV also open for now, but I heard that shouldn't be the problem. Anyone have a clue what could be wrong?
Tap into the line leading from the lower charge pipe with a t and feed that to your bpv. There will never be vacuum on the lower cp therefore it will keep the bpv from releasing. Are you running the line that lead to the bpv previously to the bov?

I was told to put a T in the line going from the BPV to the solenoid up front and connect the line from the BOV to that. Are you saying I T the line from the lcp and run the line from the BPV to that, I'll just plug it at the solenoid? Where does the line from the bov go?

Yeap, BOV straight to intake mani. Disconnect the line coming out of the intake mani and replace it with the BOV hose. Connect the bpv to a T in the line coming out of the lower CP. You will throw a bpv solenoid code but just ignore it. You can have your tuner disable it or you can yourself if you have hp tuners.
Sorry for all the questions, but will I go into limp mode without the MAF relocate? And what do I do with the hose that originally went directly to the intake mani?
Not if you're tuned for the bov. Your tuner will just have to compensate for the rich spike. That hose would have originally went to your vacuum canister and then another hose would lead from the vacuum canister back to the bypass valve solenoid. The other line on the bpv solenoid came from the lcp. If you get rid of the bpv solenoid you can just disconnect the line from the lcp and run a line from the lcp directly to the bpv.
Alright what I have done so far, and seems to be working, is the BOV hose straight to the mani with the original hose capped off. Then I have the BPV and LCP hoses T'd together and plugged into the top slot (facing firewall) of the solenoid with the original location of the BPV on the solenoid (left port) capped off.
Is this right? I can't really tell if the BOV is releasing air because my BPV is loud as well.

Your BPV should not be working. The BOV should be the only thing releasing air. Try connecting the bpv directly into the lcp without the T, although technically as long as the bpv solenoid is plugged/capped good, it should work the same. Just wondering if your plugs are leaking.
Ok I have a HKS BOV and the forge BPV hooked up. I bypassed the solenoid as well. I also had the lower charge piping nipple broken off by someone who worked on my car when it was installed.
So I have it set up but putting at in the line from the BOV and the intake manifold so it t's to the BPV as well. At low boost my BPV works and at higher beast the BOV works. Mine runs perfect

i run my bpv and my hks at the same time.
I WOULD NOT advise doing this as you're going to have 20+ psi surge.
Then OP needs to pull it apart and clean it with some silicone based lubricant.
I am using a block off plate and using a softer spring inside my HKS bov, I have 0 issues with how it is set up. I am also tuned by Trifecta for this set up. As you can see from the pic I have the bov vacuum line right where the bpv vacuum line would have been hooked up.
