bpv or bov

I'm debating on getting a bov, or installing the dejon bpv spring upgrade but I'm torn between the two. Which one would you guys say go for???

I bought a charge pipe like 3 months ago... is there a way I can mod it to run a bov or should I buy the correct one?

I hear some ppl are having issuses with the dejon spring that's why I haven't installed mine yet.

If I was to run a bov would I have to relocated the maf and get retune?

Thanks guys

What's wrong with the stock spring? Get the forge or don't even bother IMO.

your gonna end up spending more money if you decide to go to a atmospheric blow off valve. you will need a coldside to relocate the MAF sensor so it will trick the sensor in the back where the turbo manifold is. The sensor in the back will be thinking there is a leak when there is not if you don't relocated the MAF sensor. Plus tuning, and adjusting the BOV to reduce surge and flutter. My best bet if I was you is get the Forge BPV, you don't need an atmospheric BOV for the smaller turbo.

No and No.
Corsa and Astra have different turbos even they might be similar with ours, but hey all BW turbos are almost same including the one from VAG engines (VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat). You are telling something like that all GT28 are same.

None, Corsa and Astra, have LNF, again your are presuming wrong.

Wrong information is worse than no information.

Wow, came all the way from eastern Europe to find my post in a forum for a car that doesn't exist in Europe? Congrats information police, you really solved a big mystery here I made an assumption since they are gm vehicles and the forge piece is an exact duplicate of our bpv bolt layout and fitment.

No. For the Forge BPV the CP can stay in place. Just remove the intake to make life easier. Then its a matter of simply undoing the three bolts of the stock BPV.

I took my stock bpv off yesterday to clean and inspect. I left both intake and cp on, it was kind of a pain. Would be easier to remove intake for more room to work. BTW, what size are the three 10mm bolts and threads, anyone know?

I wanna chime in, I currently have the Dejon BPV Spring and the sound is seriously good! I love it, but I only hear it when I go above 5 psi or higher rpms. If I do my daily driving which I shift around 3k rpms, I get surge.

Now I've heard from multiple sources that this low rpm surge is okay! Not a big deal, I keep hearing from other sources that this surge is a bid deal. So since I couldn't decide on what to believe I decided to just buy a forge motorsports spring.

On the positive side, the few Css.net users I PM'd about their spring has all had it on for quite some time. All are tuned and pushing 22psi or more. Those people seem to be having no problems. The people with problems were on stock tune, some not, but most were. So it got me thinking. One person added a downpipe and his problem went away. Not sure how true that is, but he is convinced the back pressure caused surge because the exhaust pressure had no where to go. Opening up the back caused the BPV spring to stay closed and the pressure just went out the back of the turbo instead of slowing it down.

This is all just hear say, just stuff I've read. I can't tell you anything other than, I know I'm getting surge at low rpms and the sound is incredible. I love it. If it wasn't for the surge, I'd love this spring!

P.S. the Forge Motorsports BPV is on back order, they told me they'll have them in around the 16th and can process orders then. I should receive mine on the 23rd of Feb

No , Im not getting any surge. It runs just like the stocker to be honest. Im not tuned either running on the 15Ib spring (green).

Then again im not driving my car hard. I shift at 3000 to 3500rpm. I have gotten on it a few times and noted a that the turbo noise sounded different at full boost when rpms climbed to 5900rpms roughly.
