bpv install
take off ur intake turbo so its not in the way then theres 3 screws holding the bpv on i cant remember if they are bolts or allen key ones. basically it make sure u disconnect the vacuum line and make sure to catch the diaphragm
Remove intake followed by the rubber hose and clamp from bpv, remove the 3 10mm bolts on the bpv, remove bpv. install new bpv with opening facing down, install 3 bolts followed by rubber hose and clamp. reinstall intake
I just did this about 2 weeks ago. The installation isnt too bad unless you have bigger hands; it's tight down there. I didn't remove the entire intake when I did mine, just the lower portion of the hose. I also removed the back portion of charge air pipe because I found I had alot more room to work with to get to the bolts that attach to the bpv. (I'm left handed)... but once the BPV was pulled out, and the new one placed in, I just cinched up the bolts by hand til they were snug, and did a 1/4 turn just to tighten them up alittle bit more... I looked for torque specs but could find none, so I just used what my dad always taught me about bolts in general.
and yes making sure that the opening is facing down is important on the portion of the bpv that fits inside the housing. the outside is adjustable so you can move the vacumn hose around a bit to find it a good position. of note, On my BPV (forge) they decided to put a right angle in the vaumn line... I'm not really crazy about this as I have heard from others that they used to be straight out, like the stock bpv is... that said, I dont think its doing anything dramatic by it being a 90degree turn .... but I wouldnt mind a straighter line.
once you cinch down the screw head on top of the bpv and align the vacumn hose the way you want... that's pretty much it... I have been using the green spring and have seen no issues thus far. I have also seen no performance gain and I wouldnt expect to either.. this is just a nice built metal option over the stock plastic.
oh and when you're putting all the hoses back on... just make sure you screw down the spring bolt that holds the charge pipeing tight enough... if you don't you're gonna get a nice surprise when you put your foot on the gas hahaha... (yes it happend to me!) hahah... but no damage... I was just in a hurry like a dummy.. take your time with it.. its not a rush...

alright shiny silver thing is the bpv, where you see those clamps behind it is the intake. your gonna have to take of that clamp. if its the stock intake its just one clamp and if yours is like mine it is gonna be a bitch to get off because the bolt is gonna be facing the firewall. loosen that clamp pull out the intake then take the 3 bolts of the stock bpv take off the vacuum line. put in the forge opening facing down bolt it in put the vacuum line back on and put the intake back on, thats about it. skipped a few step for taking off the stock intake but thats easy.
like seriously this day and age, with all the write ups people do... if you can't find a write up... there is probably a reason...
here i'll do a write up:
remove hose clamp on intake tube to air box
remove hose clamp on ittake tube to turbo
remove intake tune
take long deep breath
remove 3 10mm bolts in a triangular pattern on the beige plastic piece on the outside of the turbo which is the device behind the plastic shitty **** that runs on top/beside the engine(at least stock)...
remove beige piece and spring
place new silver shiny piece
insert and tighten 10mm screw onto new shiny piece
place intake tube back onto turbo and onto air box
tighten the hose clamps on the air box side and the turbo side
