Breather line removal?
k... be prepared you will tear it up getting it off...just powder coated mine and here is what I learned...
1.) You will tear the inner clamp trying to get it off. This is unavoidable as you will not be able to get anything down in there to bend down the clamp hooks.
2.) Go to NAPA and order a new one... they are a couple of bucks - buy two (you will probably screw it up putting it back on at least once)
3.) Mask off both nipples on the valve cover... any powder coat on them and you will not get the hoses back on...
Hope this helps...

No, this hose connects to the turbo and spews out oil vapor, the hose you're talking about ingests fresh air into the engine.
i read on Dejons website that we can plug this breather hose. any of you guys know if this is true, and if it will hurt anything? or should i just leave my K&N breather filter on it? thanks
yeah if you read the rest of my post i stated that i have a K&N Breather filter on it right now since i didn't wanna for over money for a new GM "upper air Dam" since i chopped it into a SRI and it wouldn't be covered under warranty anymore since it's modified. so i should just leave it or buy a different intake!?
As a GM service engineer I can tell you do not plug off that hose. Ecotec's have a small passage between the head and the intake manifold that acts as a pcv. That hose is a breather line that compensates for crankcase windage. If you plug it it will push oil into the intake through the PVC passage in the intake.
Any good powdercoater can mask that off.
