nah it's easy, just open the glove box, take everything out of it, then push in the sides so it can flip down farther, then theres a cover held on by 3 tabs, then pull the filter out. takes 5 min.

Mine was a little dirty too after only 16,000 miles. All I had to do though was hit it with some compressed air and it was back to almost brand new.
