Anyone else have issues when you are driving really slow, like say through a parking lot, in 1st and if you let off the clutch your car likes to buck?

Ride ur clutch a little as u give it gas and then release and it won't do that. Once ur going u can let go of the gas altogether and it won't stale. That actually works in every gear, ya I tried it

Yeah it's unfortunately pretty much normal for these cars. I've been able to tune out the "on/off switch" feeling to an extent in 1st at low speeds but it's still there a little. Stock it's definitely awful though!

It's definitely a little embarrassing though when you're trying to just lightly cruising through a parking lot with someone in the car and you're basically giving them whip lash. lol

theres no easy way to get on and off the gas in these cars, it will buck a bit in any gear. took me a month to get used to 1st. basically my trick is to just be as gentle on the gas pedal as possible. when taking off, slowly ease on the gas in 1st, then put in the clutch as u get off it to go into 2nd.

I've never had this problem except when I first start the car and the engine is still cold. I always use 1st in parking lots.

I've just accepted the fact that it still happens and apologize if anyone is in the car with me haha, It doesn't happen to often because eventually you learn to just to clutch in and start over again or like the said above, just ride the clutch as little as possible and give it a bit more gas! .... Or if i am not in the mood for it I just slam the gas and spin it out haha

Exactly what I always say. It's only good to get rolling. I get out of first gear as soon as I can.

Except that you need some RPMs so you don't lug in 2nd. That's almost as bad as bucking in first. First should have been longer geared

Ive been driving mine for a week now i actually got first gear down for the most part.

I just slowly give it gas and on smooth roads it works good.

Or if it starts to "buck" i have found only 2 solutions to get it to stop.

1. push the clutch in
2. smash it and shift to 2nd(mostly when it pisses me off or I'm with someone else) haha

I have a trifecta tune ( not the smoothest tune out there) full bolt ons a stage three clutch and i get none of this bucking. try just smoothly engaging the throttle dont just let the vac drop thats prob wat makes it buck.

At first I was like WTF? Can't I drive a stick? It just takes a little time to get use too. It seems to buck more in first too if the engine is cold.
