Cheap or no?

Would there be any performance lost if I bought from
http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com...EXHAUST/Detail
OR would buying Hahn be better?
http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...dcategory=5617
What are the pros and cons of the cheap one?

I have the MBE 3" system on my car

I added the resi option, make sure you get stainless steel exhaust, not mild steel.

Sounds bad ass, get some real clamps with it and enjoy a three inch stainless system that sounds like Hahn, for a lot ******* less.

Hahn is stainless, the other one is mild steel which is aluminumized...

Your factory exhaust is stainless... Stainless cost MUCH more than aluminized.

I went with adm and paid 599 for downpipe and full exhaust. Catless downpipe. Personally I wouldn't spend money on hahn

I have the stainless MBE system.

It was 505 shipped with a magnaflow 14" resonator and an oval magnaflow muffler.

Keep telling yourself that...

Don't get me wrong the Hahn is a nice piece, but shiny doesn't warrant a $600+ price tag.

I have the exact set up that CIA's exhaust is.

Same resi and muffler and like I said it was 505 to my door.

It does have a very nice unique suttle sound, not over powering in tone.

Depends on the set up you get.

Get a resi and oval MF set up, it will be the exact same thing as CIA(and mine, catless and this=good. no drone on the high way, EPIC ******* deep, as deep as some V8's, and opens upquite the nice when you get on it)

Get a resi and a straight through round MF muffler and it will be like Hahn(same as above but slightly louder)

Get a resi and a borla muffler and it will something not a lot of people have(????)

Or you could go without a resi and just any of the previously stated mufflers if you want it to be louder.

Back on topic:

Don't overpay for names.

3" stainless steel exhaust, is 3" stainless steel exhaust.

As long as it is stainless and mandrel bent, who cares if it is shiny?

It is underneath my car!

I would wait on that.....Terminator had some major install issues, it didnt line up!

Or just go like me...Stock exhaust w/ 3" DP . Enjoy the stock look, and dont think exhaust is much of a gain in HP right now @ my numbers. Louder then stock, but still has a nice mellow tone to it. But if I went w/ an exhaust setup, I would use the MBE system w/ the borla muffler (always a fan of the borla sound)

I had stock with a 3"dp

It was an impulse buy with the exhaust, one I am very glad I made. Only suggestion I have is get some better clamps, they sent u-bolt fails

Steve took care of all that already. They are making the angles slightly different now for the cobalts then the hhrs. So no more problems

Until I see it working I'm holding off ....Dont like the be the guineea pig for some things

I actually wish it wasnt so freaking huge as well...Thats just going to cause more of a pressure drop and most of your cooling is really only using the lower part of the IC anyways. I honestly bet you would dyno with higher numbers on the stock IC then the Crazy Steve IC w/ your setup.

BTF did some 400HP smaller IC's for the GXP, I wish someone would come out w/ something along those lines for the Cobalt. Lower pressure drop but still increase the cooling/flow ability of the IC over stock

I'm going to be dynoing my car again because the dudes that did the runs were idiots. Long story. But Steve did run a 13.1 with that front mount. I'm happy with my purchase. To each their own. And
Terminator might have had some issues but look how happy he is now with it

Anyways I love my exhaust lol
