If you choose us, and I hope you do, all of our products quality is as good, if not better than, the other choice. You can order direct from us and get a better price than going with any other manufacturer and certainly better than a middle man. We are the manufacturer and have chosen to support the members directly. We use nothing but the best available parts and materials and am happy to say we have no problems with any of our products reported. We debur everything to insure nothing breaks loose and ends up in your turbo and all parts are machined to factory specs. (No electrical tape required for assembly of our products).

As for the boost tubing, our boost tubing matches the factory intercooler absolutely perfect. As long as an after market intercooler is made to the same strict tolerances, our boost tubing will work with all factory replacement intercoolers. I'm 110% sure if there is a mis-alignment of parts, it wont be due to our boost tubing.

As mentioned above, we are a very small shop. There are actually 3 of us in the shop now with poor Beth stuck in the office alone these days. So give her a call and offer your support: (425)251-0329. It will brighten her day.

Also, our down-pipes are all TIG welded.
Here's the picture as requested:

Thanks everyone.

Don't mean to thread-jack, but are you replacing or upgrading your turbo? Just wondering if you were going the BTF compressor route...

i like both brands...both are quality but im big on sticking with brands and right now hahn has a bit more to offer. but one plus for me about hahn is that they are like 30 minutes away from my house if theres ever an issue they said they would come out and take a look at it. plus bill(turbo tech) drives one of these cars as a daily and pretty much is using his car for the prototype as far as parts go. good bunch of guys though at both places.

I would also like to know if there is going to be a CIA IC option coming in the near future! I haven't personally touched anything from CIA YET, but I have ordered the boosting tubing kit from them on the GB so I will know soon enough. I don't want to take away from the quality of Hahn because I know there stuff is top notch but CIA seem to be the same for less money. As far as the cat-exhaust side things go, I would not even bother unless you go with a 3" back and a tune w/down pipe. The most restrictive as others have stated is the DP so if you fix that first your just throwing money down the drain. My recommendation would be to leave the stock cat-back and get a DP with an electronic cut out and save yourself some cash. Since you live in a mild climate like I do were things down tend to rust stainless isn't a must for you and there are much cheaper options for a cat-back than ether of these if you don't mind doing a tiny bit of work, if you still want a 3" cat-back that is.

I just posted a how to thread on CIA's dp...that way everyone can compare the CIA dp to the stock dp. I may be biased, but I prefer the design of the CIA downpipe. They moved the cat further down the pipe away from the flex section. In my option this is ideal as the cat is the hottest part of the dp...personally I wouldn't want something that hot next to my flex section...

Having driven my car with the new CIA dp, I would say regardless of who you chose you should consider this change a 'necessary upgrade'. My car appears to be the better for it - more responsive, better feel, better sound...etc... and I am not even tuned to take advantage of it yet.

Clear Image Intercooler

Well, my personal opinion on an after market intercooler is this: save your time and money, it is not worth it. The factory intercooler is very efficient. On the dyno, after many pulls, we read the temps going into the factory intercooler to be 150 degrees. Coming out was 50 degrees. Nothing wrong with the way the factory intercooler performs.

Now my business opinion: since most car enthusiasts wont listen anyways, and still order an aftermarket intercooler, We might as well build one since there's already at least 6 of you asking for one from Clear Image Automotive. By the way, we really do appreciate the fact you all want what we build.

Consider this project to be "in the works".

I remember back in my turbo Honda days people paying 100-150 for Neon SRT4 intercoolers when those guys would upgrade. Ours lend themselves to DIY stuff with the backwards facing inlet/outlet too...

If you make one for a fair price like your other parts I will buy one for sure! I was going to grab Crazysteves but I will wait for you to make one just like I am waiting for your intake! I don't mind the wait because I trust it will be worth it.

as I stated in my other thread, Crazy Steve's intercooler got rid of all the KR i was having. Maybe it's just a crazy luck, but I can't imagine having cooler air into the engine is going to hurt it.

If you build it, they will come.

Crazy Steve's price is almost too good to be true.

$275.00 delivered is pretty low. I'll price some intercoolers this week but honestly, I doubt we can even come close to that price. I am curious to know what style intercooler he is using and what country they are being produced in. I can't imagine they are American made for that price. Shipping alone has to be at least $30.00. That leaves $245.00 for us to purchase cores and fabricate end tanks while still having room to make some profit. This might be one of those times when I just tell the customer to purchase what's already available....

But, I will try first...

Thanks for the support everyone.
