my cluch peddle started squeeking, really anoying, anyone know what to oil up so it goes away??

 

turn the floor heater on a few mins

 

id just check it up close and grease wherever the sounds coming from.

 

mine was doing that a while ago, but eventually it just stopped on its own. maybe a gnome or something greased it for me, i dunno.

 

Silicone spray won't drip once dry, or stain the carpet like grease.

 

mine only does it when its like <45 or so.....was gonna grease it but found out if you turn the floor heaters on it makes it happy lol

 

mine went away with the zzp clutch rod install

 

since floor heat is easiest, ill try that first. lol thanks guys

 

ughh mine does this also, been getting worse lately too. Need to get in there with some wd40. . .

 

Mine does it off and on. What is more annoying is that you can feel it more than you can hear it. I don't notice it with my work boots.

 

Deff have the same problem. Uhh, but it's not <45* here (try 90*@ 7am), and I can deff feel it when I first start in the morning and hear it the first few times I push the clutch in. I heard it's the clutch master cylinder, but I heard it's really hard for a dealer to replicate, also. I'll try the WD40 and the heater trick and let you know.

 

I guess you are supposed to get the master cylinder replaces. but it doesnt always work.
I had the master cylinder flushed and filled and it fixes the problem for about 7,000 miles, then it starts acting up again..
mine is doing it for a second time.
at first it takes a longer trip to start doing it, then later it doers it all the time, I had to wait so it would do it for sure @ the dealership

I wish there was a definite fix

 

there is, change your brake fluid (drain, refill, bleed, fill) whever the problem starts up, from what i gather it's the o rings inside the cylinder that cause it.

 

Mine comes and goes aswell. I've tried silicone spraying the whole assembly and the sound goes away for 1-2 weeks and then it comes back

Took it to the dealership and they didn't know what it was (not that I even had any hope of them ever finding it, just the car was in there for something else already).

 

Mine squeaked as well. I think you just need to grease up the area/thingamabob that the pedal connects to. My Dealership once greased the entire linkage to make it stop, but nothing about the master cylinder.

 

I used a little water proof grease, like what you'd use for suspension bushings. Never squeaked again. At a parts store, it would probably be called marine lube. You might be able to use use white lithium grease, but I'm not sure if that would wear out quickly.

 

mine just started squealing. i'm taking it to the dealership. no point in figgetting with **** ass fixes like greasing it when they can give me a new pedal. i can grease it when its out of warranty.

 

Yah even if you do convince them to replace your pedal (good luck) that will only help you for a few thousand miles till it squeaks again.

 

Same thing with both of mine (06 SS/SC before my 09) ... anything under 40F or so and they would squeak a bit when cold.
