Which clutch?? Ordering today!
They are all puck designs. It is the backer that is different.. If you look closely they all have 6-8 pads on the disc (per side). Some disc maybe a full circle as the backer, but the wear surface on all (stage 3 or higher) are pads... (SPEC, Cluth Masters, ZZP, KY, etc.) Just saying...
Also KY many months ago, well before we started selling them did have pressure place issues, it was a "Sach" brand pressure plate. Since then they upgraded to a higher quality pressure plate, yet still maintain the awesome low price.

Hmmm easy, I've blown 3ish clutch masters a few spec and a hyper single. Never blown a ky clutch. And I test them bitches. Clutch masters uses the Sachs racing plate which doesn't have a lot of clamping force. 1900-2200 on average which wil not hold up to higher tq where the ky clutch will since it uses a diaphragm type clutch from the Lsj with upgraded components that will hold a lot lore power.
i think the longevity of the clutch would depend on your driving habits, driving nature as to what you may be using the car for drag, highway, autocross, plus the need to dump the clutch burnout and carrying on, i myself went with the Spec Stage3+ got a great deal on it bout to order their flywheel my friend has one and that made me fly with it, he's had his for a few thousand miles and it still holds firm. BUT like i said its all youdriving habits each of us uses and beats our cars in diff ways. On this site KY seems to be dominate then zzp and i feel clutchmasters and Spec are tied but you wont hav the same clutch forever...so test one out u feel confident about. i think personally after my Spec ZZP would be the next choice KY has the better pricing which is why so many ppl have it.
This issue now is apparently some weak TOB's on the LNF and LNJ side. I'm thinking that I'm just going to leave my old TOB in when I do my clutch job. Sounds like I have just as much of a chance to have that work as a new part. It only has 20K miles on it, anyway.
