clutch or tires?

Just a little background info: 2009 SS Turbo, trifecta tuned, catless MPX exhaust system and K&N Drop in. So Im obviously putting down quite a bit more power than stock but nothing too crazy. I'd say I'm a fairly aggressive spirited driver, but no racing. My car has only 30,000KM on it and I'm worried my clutch may be slipping. However it could just be wheel spin... Is there a way to tell the difference between the two?

I'm mainly worried because the car seems to spool up a little slower than before, the acceleration just isnt as aggressive as it once was. So I'm thinking that perhaps when I get on the gas hard maybe the clutch is slipping briefly before it grabs.

Floor it at 2500 RPM in 4th..does speedo seem to *stall* anywhere vs tack? You can't get wheel spin in 4th...let alone 3rd.
If the tires are on low tread..sure, that could be a problem. How many mi on tires? If you have over 20K mi, change em before considering a clutch job.

If it's the tires, the squealing noise is usually a dead give away.

Not all tires squeal when spinning, some are actually quiet... Look at the tach versus the speedometer you should see the tach jump up while the speedometer is barely climbing until the clutch grabs or gets worse.

look carefully at the TACH. If it jumps up in rpm at all then suddenly goes back down, then your clutch is slipping. If not, then it is simply tire spin.
