Cobalt running bad

09 stage 1 otherwise stock. Been noticing that at some points the car will run great other times learn down limiting boost and even bad idle and sputtering cruising. Now last year the car had a new maf put in it along with a dry filter and ran great all year. I took out the maf reset the computer and cleaned the maf. Im thinking that the issue.....but, i cant remember is the maf upgraded with the gmstage 1?

No, the Maps are, not the MAF.

How many miles are on your car?

Are you having misfires?
Check engine light?

47,000 miles it threw the fire code yesterday ever and came off then. It acted up with the weather change. it now is currently running fine but randomly acts up. funky idle, misfire while driving, cutting boost are all things that have happened. I spoke with the dealer and the part is less than a year old so im attempting to get it replaced. I've heard that the mafs fail regularly on these cars something about poor connections? It is lowered and our highways in toledo are terrible.

Well can you give us specific codes? Maybe we can narrow it to a cylinder, coil pack or even something simple like a bad purge valve

The car hasn't been abused at all really. I dont have a code reader at the moment for this car. I really am not thinking its a coil or a plug since a reset fixs my issue. If a coil was going bad a reset would not fix it temporary. Correct me if im wrong. The more I dig into old threads the more I feel like maf again. Spoke with dealer and since its under a year old there probably going to replace it.

From what we have learned, this car likes abuse. You could be running into so many things.

coked intake valves
dirty sensors
bad sensors
bad plug
bad coil pack

Give us more info and we will be as helpful as a dealership or more.

From a different perspective - I have had this exact same problem (i've posted about it) and it ended up being the wiring to the plug on the mass airflow sensor. it was throwing no less than 4 codes at a time and that fixed all of them.
