coupe vs sedan

Hey
Before I get yelled at, I did a search and didn't come up with anything.

Surprisingly I like the fact that you can get a four door in the cobalt SS Turbo. I know its not as sporty, but having four doors is great when you have extra stuff, people, and parking in small parking spots. The other big facor is coupe are consider sports cars, this being a four door, maybe insurance would be cheaper???

1. The Chevrolet website says it have a 3.82 final drive ratio, what does the coupe come with?
2. How much heavier is the sedan over the coupe?
3. Does anyone have 1/4 time comparisons?
4. Any other differences..... besides it having 2 more doors and different taillights/trunk?

Same final drive...

Weight isn't much of an issue. Maybe 100 lbs...

1/4 mile should be within a few tenths of a second...

Don't know about insurance...

definately going to save money on insurance anytime it's 2doors over 4doors. "Studies" show that ppl who drive 2dr cars are more likely to drive "fast" than ppl who have 4dr cars................leave it to the insurance companies to believe something so stupid

ha ha.. well the Cobalt coupe isn't the sexiest car out there either. I agree the coupe looks better but the sedan is much more practical. I have a camaro right now and I know alot of things would be more confienant in a sedan. (passengers, bookbag, larger boxes that I ship, setc. O well ...20 hours and I should have my new car

Well now that we have compared the coupe vs the sedan....how doe the HHR SS(5 speed MANUAL) compares with the cobalt?

1. What is final drive ratio in the HHR 3.82 ?
2. How much heavier is the HHR over the cobalt?
3. Does anyone have 1/4 time comparisons?
4. Any other big differences..... gasoline capacity..? Stupid question.... HHR is a different car, different spring rates etc.

Some days after mine is clean I walk out side and see her in the sun .. it almost looks like a SAAB or something cool like that.. the rear end isn't all that great I agree but I have smoked the tail lights shaved the rear end painted emblem black tinted my car added HALO projectors with HID's and a shift light . So far The stereo for stock rocks my socks and Either way I have had bitches want to ride in my sedan so ... Who cares they are both fast enough and I would rather trade a small amount of aesthetic value for functional value, and I bet my Sedan will sell faster in the future... Cheaper on insurance too..

I think the sedan only looks good if it's in black with tinted windows.

Well I looked some of the info up on my own
1. HHR has a 4.05 final drive ratio, although it has 225 45 18 tires vs cobalts 225 40 18.
I wonder how 225 45 18 would look on cobalt. (lower those rpms)
2. a good 200+lbs
3.
4. I wish I had an HHR gas tank!!! The HHR gas tank is 16.2 gallon vs our 13. The cobalt gas guage makes it look like it goes down so fast because the need rotates 300 degrees!

I have always been a coupe guy, but I have recently been contemplating the sedan for some practicality. I decided the coupe is just better looking and will order one in January.

I wanted to buy a Seden but the 2500 rebate was for 2008s and the 2009 rebate was only 1000. So I have a coupe.

Yeah dude I recently spent like 100 bucks on some tint and tried to do it my self. My advice is to take the windows out first ... The rear windows are complex curves so you get bubbles if you leave the windows in. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE ..
