DDM wiring harness for my 09 Chevy Cobalt SS/TC?

I just got my DDM HID kit in for my 09 Chevy Cobalt SS/TC. Unfortunately I got the right size for the foglights which is the H11's. Then came the 9007 Hi/Lo Beam with a wiring harness. I didn't expect to replace my entire stock wiring harness to get the HID's working for the headlights. So, I'm returning the 9007 Hi/Lo Beams with the wiring harness that I don't need. Has anybody gone through this? I just order the 9007 this time without the wiring harness, which that leads me only the foglights to be completed only. Has anybody changed out the wiring harness on the Cobalt?

Do you really need to change out the wiring harness if you get the 9007hi/low. I thought the kit was pretty much Plug and Play

im pretty sure you plug the wiring harness that comes with the kit into the pre-existing stock wiring harness... but I could be wrong. Its how it worked for my last car.

Umm...the wiring harness is just sort of an add on...It's really just a relay setup. You don't need to change the stock wiring harness.

So did you end up using the DDM Tuning 9007 Hi/Low kit?

Let me know how the install go's on this perticular DDM Tuning 9007 Hi/Low kit I will be purchasing one very soon. Also did you buy the additional harness (http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...33&parent=94)? Oh and did you get the 35W ballast or the 50W?

I tried to get the 9007 hi/low to work with the wire harness, but couldn't get it done. I plug everything right, ground both the wires on both ends and hooked the positive to the circuit breaker, plug the blue connector, hooked my battery back up and no lights on. I'm assuming its the blue connector the way the wire is layed out and have that rerouted until the HID's come on. That's where I'm going at the reroute the blue connector from the wire harness and that should get the 9007's to work with the HID, otherwise I'm just SOL and stuck with my stock lights.

Well if you have everything wired properly it should work...so either you don't have it wired correctly...or by some long shot miracle, both ballasts or both bulbs are shot...and I doubt the latter.

I agree. OP do you own a volt meter? If so check your connections.

Nah, it works, just had someone to help me out who actually hooked up their own DDM HID Kit. The plug for the ballasts were in backwards, so both lights came on. Need to post some pics. How do you post pics on here on forums?

I just helped install this kit on my bf's cobalt last weekend. It's a plug and play kit. You plug the wiring harness into your stock outlet for your headlights and then use the wiring harness to hook up your ballasts and HID's.

You may have to repin the connector for the stock harness to get your hi's to work. You switch the blue and white wires and they will work.

If you need pictures on how it should be set up let me know, and I will get pics of it this weekend
