dead spot shifting in third?
dead spot shifting in third?
Whats up guys a few times when shifting into 3rd wot there is a dead spot for a sec, but tonight it was like really bad, soon as I shift third and gas it, it was going nowhere for about 2-3 sec and kinda sounded like backfiring.. any input??
were you NLS'ing? maybe you were a lil slow. I have had a similar "problem" a couple of times, sometimes from 1st to 2nd gear and sometimes from 2nd to 3rd, but I just assumed I was messing up lol.
Was TC and or ESC on? I get this sometimes on a highway ramp when I shift down to 3 and hammer it. I think it is the waste gate opening, does the exhaust sound louder when this happens?
1 - You were spinning when you shifted
2 - You just tapped the limiter when you shifted
3 - You shifted a tad too slow(nls)
These will cause a misfire. You hear popcorn exhaust note with a brief loss of power. Usually clears it self in a second or two. Sometimes it will blink the engine light at you and you have to let off for a second to let it settle

Nothing really. A pending code is just the car detecting a possible problem. If it happens a certain number of times within a time frame it will set a cel. Clear whatever you find and move on. Ive only set a cel for a misfire once but it was my fault.
