Dejon Why?
Dejon Why?
So I started hearing a surge from the back side near the turbo about a month ago. Though nothing of it but it got really loud and noticable. So I said to myself it must be my dejon spring, I replaced it with stock and the surge went away. I know that the spring caused the surge which isn't the problem. These are my real problems:
1) The nice exhaust note is now quieter
. I have a catless DP and its stock til full throttle.
2) The nice bov noise that I would get when I shift gears is not non-existant. (I am not getting a bov as the recirc system is good enough.)
I did notice that the dejon spring is about 1/8 of an inch shorter than the stock one. I would think that if I fired up the spring and stretched it to the exact size as stock I would be in business. Am I correct?

To the op, it would be nice if you put how many miles you had on your Dejon Spring before the surge occurred.
I've had my Dejon Spring for 3.5k miles so far, no surge or noticeable side effects.
Maybe I just don't have enough miles on it yet for heat cycles to effect the Dejon spring?
I do know that my factory BPV spring was weak, at 600 miles new and with no tune, the factory BPV spring allowed my diaphragm to collapse (sucked shut and vacuum tight) and cause boost issues. Fixed it with the new Dejon spring as I was afraid to waste my money on a new factory spring.

HHRSS....I have my car in the shop currently because lost all boost, the dealership is putting a whole new turbo on, they were instructed to do so b4 even looking further into the problem... however, before i lost all boost, the same sound and boost loss occurred for a few mins and went away...tends to make me thing that it's a BPV or wastegate problem.
Here is a video I took when my car did this, I was just wondering if the sound you had, when you had boost problems, was similar...

my car threw no codes, however had no boost...

Dude wtf is that ticking, it sounds like an old pushrod V8 that needs a bad valve adjustment job?
I had my dejon spring for about 10k. The surge started about 1-2 months ago. I have no problems now that the stock is in. The car pulls hard and boost is all there.
Well hell they are only 10 bucks and that was a screaming deal for the spring. I just want to make sure it isn't doing damage to the turbo cause replacement would be retarded.
