Down pipe and full exhaust or straight pipe
Down pipe and full exhaust or straight pipe
What I want to know what are the performance and sound pros and cons of a catless downpipe and full exhaust compared to just a straight pipe from the turbo back with no cats, resonator, or muffler?
I have the hahn catless DP anh Hahn 3" catback, sounds great and with a tune you wills ee some gains. Not sure about a straight pipe all the way back, have heard of many of people doing a straight pipe from the DP back
I would get a true cat back with a catless DP to keep the noise down. If you race at the track, get a cutout on the DP, and only open it there. A 3" exhaust will give about the same power as a straight pipe, without the obnoxious noise.
my buddy has straight pipe 3" all the way back, it doesnt sound too bad. under load it sounds ******* amazing. but pops alot when he downshifts, i plan on doing 3" catless no resonator to a small pretty good flowing muffler. preferbly borla
im running a custom 3" catback with no mufflers or resonators and it sounds fawking awesome!! im still stuck with the stock DP tho, im HOPING my buddy can order me some 4" stainless piping to custom fab me a downpipe...so it'll be a 4" DP with no cats down to a 3" catback with nothing on it lol should sound pretty dope
love that sound!!! i also have hahn racecraft intake and dejon spring upgrade, so you hear it sucking air, and the woosh when you shift gears sounds good!
does anyone sell a straight pipe kit of a decent quality? No shop mandrel bend around here. This is for autocross by the way so the cats will keep in quiet. heard a sky today straight piped, sounded SWEET.
the cats will keep it quiet? str8 pipe= no cats........... you can go to any exhaust shop and they can cut your muffler off and weld in a pipe, i believe this thread is referring to catless downpipe, and muffler delete.........granted i still have a resonator but there's nothing else i got my muffler delete for 70 bucks
