I'm planning on getting an aftermarket catted downpipe to work with the stock catback and stock header. Either 2.5" or 3"

Which is less restrictive?

Which sounds better?

I know the exit of the header is about 2" and the inlet of the stock catback it 2-1/16". The average size of the overall stock downpipe is 2.875 OD.

3" since you posted this in the LNF section we assume you're running an SS/TC, but with your comment about the exit from the header being 2" and the inlet of the stock catback being 2 1/16 its slightly confusing.

So what cobalt do you actually have?

Does anyone make a 2.5 inch for an LNF? I kinda just figured everyone made a 3 inch cuz even the stocker is 3 inch. the big question is catless or not catted... I say catless but that is just me

 

3", catless sounds better and is less restrictive...

 

yeah the stocker is 3'', why would you want to go smaller?

 

i thought the stocker was 2.5 like the catback, but I guess i'm going with a 3" catted now
