Dyno question

I was told to dyno in 4th gear, but isn't 3rd gear closer to the 1.1 ratio then 4th gear?

3rd gear: 1.18 (difference of .08 from 1.1)
4th gear: .89 (difference of .21 from 1.1)

Thanks for the clarification ahead of time.

You mean closer to 1.0 not 1.1, use 4th gear.

its 1:1 as in 1.0, not 1.1. so 4th would be the gear to dyno with

4th gear actually seems to read more power on the dyno due to the load difference, but 3rd is a little nicer on the clutch..

Won't hurt to try both. 4th will give you a bit more power, and your clutch will like it less. Most places give you three pulls.

I tried 4th and 3rd gear on the dyno. There was less than a 10hp/tq variance in the runs. Id say be nice to your clutch and do 3rd gear even though it still slips a little
