Engine light flashed Please help!

I wanted to do a quick pull in 3rd to pass up an 18 wheeler.

Just as I got on it the car pulled then suddenly lost power and the engine light flashed a few times and went away.

Any ideas? Cracked plastic intercooler? Wheather was a little cold and just finished raining.

You had a misfire. Check intercooler and charge pipes.

You must have a code. Your name indicates that you're a tuner. What code did you get?

By the way, I can't imagine that it EVER gets cold enough in Texas to make that plastic really brittle.

i don't think it's a water issue. driving in rain does not mess up anything, unless you drive through a flood!! anyone that says, "my intake sucked water while it was raining" yeah?? they drove through water covering the rimprobably smh...i say loose or cracked ic piping.

I've had my car stutter from just going through a car wash. When moisture builds on the MAF the car will act up.

Really ? Because I have been wondering if this is my issue lately. During Rainy days my car will stutter or stumble once in a while. Then work normal. Its wierd. My intake is all stock. I wonder if there could be moisture from the wet and cold rainy days affecting it ?

Thats kinda how my car fells when it falls on its face. But I dont have any engine lights nor does or has it ever blinked. It still builds boost. But it just falls flat on its face. Then starts working fine ten seconds later.

Last week I drove through a HEAVY rain with my 07 SS. Ive put 94000 miles on it and never had this problem. Until now; I ran through a few lakes on the highway and the car started spitting, losing power, idling from 500rpm's and jumping to 2000rpm's and keep bouncing between them. I was 300 miles away from my house with no tools. So I went to the parts store and changed the air filter in the parking lot. Put some Lucas product in the gas tank and she ran fine!! So the other day its was raining lightly and the car ran fine again until the next morning she was doing the same thing. So I checked the air filter its DRY and clean!! Put it back together and fired it up. Ran a little better so I clean the butterfly and fired it up again no new results. Ran it for a bit and now the power steering went, the check engine light is on, it WOULDN'T even idle anymore, and when I hold the throttle steady she spitting like crazy!! PLEASE ANYTHING WOULD HELP at this point!

check the codes that are stored! for the engine light to flash, you need to have a major issue that will cause damage to the emission system
