Ok I have to agree that looks sweet. I'm usually not one to put random crap on my car that doesn't make it go fast or stop fast but that is cool... Just one question though... um if your remote runs out of batteries??? That would suck Tom, let us know I'm down for that system.

EDIT: watched the rest of the video... the little maxi pad on the windshield can arm/disarm... thats cool I wants one.

Auxillary power thing is located there isn't it?

Added: I notice that the car is a manual. Any problem for a manual? And also can you still bump start it? Bump starting has came in handy many times for me.

why not try and do it yourself? its not that hard just looks intimidating, if its anything like the majority of alarms/remote starts its just a matter of tapping into wires and possibly adding relays. I use to work for company that did this type of stuff, and they charge the hell out of you.

its not the doing it im scared of its the finding the right wires that i dont enjoy, but i will take a look before i give up and take it to the shop lol . if the diagrams on alldata would be more detailed instead of making me look at 500 different ones to trace a wire id be set, much harder to mess with the wireing on these newer cars. :P

I've called and had asked to intall a remote start and once i mention it's a standard they say no dice. Something to do with extra work involved.

And bump starting has came in handy for me many times. I consider it a great feature of manual cars.

That is awesome. A nice feature Nissans. VWs, Jaguars all do (windows up and down).

doing the actual remote start part of it isn't that hard to do. You can start the car by a button but you will still need to stick the key in the ignition and turn it over to unlock your steering column so you can steer.

Can't wait to see results, worth the price IMO if you can get it to work. Also curious about the potential steering lock issue.
