ESC/TC GM it's AMAZING!

Ok... no need for details, but i was sideways at a little above highway speeds and esc straightend me out like nothing happened... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Think of the scenario as a silver mazda cuts into my lane forcing me to go onto the shoulder heading straight into a curb, yank the wheel left which kicks the back end out. Then compensate by cutting the wheel the other way and have the tail slide the other way and then continue straight Looked like a pro drifter probably but i was shiting myself

I've had 1 similar experience already, it's nearly impossible to spin this car, u gotta be goin full out WOT in 5th gear and biff it hardcore to spin the ss/tc, SOLID ESC setup.

I took mine through a snowy cul-de-sac that's empty (houses haven't been built on it yet) and tried some throttle-lift oversteer antics...

With ESC on, you lift, the tail starts to come out, but it just stays in check. The ESC is great.

With all driver aids off, the car is still controllable... Bring it in on the power, scandanivian flick/lift... The back end comes around and you can just hold it there by metering out some power to get it to understeer. Definitely the best handling FWD car I've ever driven in snow.

That's because it was just traction control, engaged only by cutting throttle. Stability control on the turbo Cobalts is a little more sophisticated.

bastard, i tried so hard to get mine to do that but we haven't had enough actual snow for it, my winter tires end up biting into the pavement still, preventing me from having any real fun yet

Hey I noticed you have the limited slip. As I'm sure most do on the SS/TC. How did that work in the snow do you know?

I've checked it out on dry pavement on the throttle pretty good. Worked well. I'm just wondering about some real low rpm traction issues.

I haven't driven it in any really extreme conditions yet, so I can't really say. I haven't noticed a ton of difference in basic drivability between my SS/TC and my dad's 05' Altima 3.5SE which I drove for years... Well, unless I'm being an ******* in a cul-de-sac
