ESC wacked out and MPH off?

Whats up guys.. i have a 2010 tc.. i was driving today pulling out of the bank and when i was going down the road the ESC light was flashing and kept coming on and going off and coming on and it was cutting my car out.. Shortly after that my MPH were way off. i was doing about 60 and it said i was doing 100 lol.... right before this i was pumping my brake pedal waiting to pull out of a parking lot.. i dont know if that has anything to do with it. i havent got to check the sensors on the wheels or anything cause its freezing and dark out right now. any input?

Check those wheel speed sensors. Clean off any snow or ice check for kinked wires or wires with ice weighing them down. Check the connectors.

Don't find anything.... Maybe try autozone to get a code read out. I'm not sure if they only do obd codes or all but it's free if they do.

It wouldn't be anything on the trans right ? It would be the wires that connect by the hub right?

Pretty sure it should be to the wheels. Esc is tied to the abs module to regulate traction based of the difference in signals of the wheels.

Any change in the situation? Find anything?

The mph went back to normal. Esc still fucked up. Checked the wires and very thing seems to be in tact. I need brakes real bad.. Can that have something to do with it? My bad right brake has been grinding for a bit.. Waiting on the order.. When I turn esc off car drives fine.

did you align you car?

there is a stering sensor angle. mine was off by 2 degree. just enough to light on ESC and loose my select a tune.

my friend recalibrate it via a Snap on tool.

ESC also deals with the Vehicle speed sensor... with the wheel speed sensors... but if the MPH corrected then it has to deal with one of the wheel speed sensors (or multiple) being messed up.

So my brakes came the other day finally got a somewhat warm day here and I went out to change them.. I found out my rear passenger caliper piston is seized open. At first I just thought it was just hard to compress so I cracked the bleeder screw open and no fluid came out.. So I ordered a caliper yesterday and awaiting its arrival.

Could this be why my ESC is wacked out?

Can i get a bump on this? While im driving soon as i get about 15mph ESC will turn on and say ESC active in the dash... I can drive with the ESC off without a problem. I hope it isnt something in the trans.. Maybe is there a sensor that needs to be changed? i checked the fuses just to check.. they are all good. cant figure this one out.

Yeah ive done that a few times. i wonder if anything could be wrong in the trans itself. all the connecters on the trans are on tight.

for everyone who has issues with those damn wheel speed sensors. or abs sensors. do what I did after I got sick of it messing up my traction control system whenever I drove through some deeper water. take off the wheels, unplug the sensor able, silicon the crap out of the back of the plug where the wires go in, reconnect, let dry, and problem solved. never had an issue again after I did that.

You see with mine though.. I'll just drive once I hit ~15mph esc is active. Whyit does this I don't know.. Tomorrow I'm gonna take the front wheels off and lean the sensors up.. Now it's the ones that come out of the hub right? Im gonna check all the wires and clean everything. Hopefully it gets fixed.

Anyone think it can be something in the trans doing this?

So today i went out and checked everything. All wires and connecters are good on there. No rips or tears.. Which is weird. I unplugged them both and took it for a drive and the ESC wasn't active but obviously the ABS and ESC light was on... This got me stumped! unless its in one of the actual hubs where the wires go into? Anyway to trouble shoot this? Or anyway to eliminate wires? Or eliminate the trans?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Could possibly be the bearing hub.

Hub sensor probably going out. I backed out of my driveway and my "Service ESC/Traction and Service Brake System" came on. I turned my car off then back on, and it went away. are you lowered?
