Exclamation Finally Got My Car Back!!!

well, this is a long story, but i'll try to make it short... so, yall know that i took my car up to hahn racecraft and had them put on EVERYTHING they have for the SS/TC onto my car, plus the S20G turbo, (first SS/TC to have it) and a clutchmasters stage 4 clutch.. well, i paid the price, had it done, it took forever, but its done, and i have the car back now.. it took so long because bill had to go to florida to be with his dad, so progress was limited.. also, with bill being gone, they could not get the car tuned, and smoothly running at 400 WHP. so, what happened was, i picked it up monday, the 13th, and was told that i would have to come back when bill is back to get the tedious tuning for 400 whp. long story, much longer than what i can post on here without boring you all.. unfortunately, after my car was done the day i picked it up, there was no time for a dyno run.... it was 8 p.m. and i had to be back at ft. campbell the next morning, so,,,, i had to go... from what i was told, the tune program its currently running on is not perfect just yet, i will admit, there is much more tuning needed to be done to get it the way i wanted... boost picks up kinda slow, and is kinda sluggish.. i was told by Aaron that it "should be" running around 350 whp. i've been driving it a lot lately, and it really really takes off at around 4500 rpm.. so, hopefully bill gets back to illinois soon, so i can go back up there, and get the right tune, and pick up that power a bit quicker with no sluggish issues. i have not had time since i been back with the car to take videos, or pictures, so bare with me everybody, i will have some up soon. i will say this, it was 7,000 bucks well spent!!!! and it feels great to have the first SS/TC with ALL of their mods.... let me know what yall think..... should i wait for bill to get back, or should i go to a tune shop and have it completed there?

try not to go at it at all is my first word of advice

my second is to go to someone who knows what they are doing. I personally would wait for Bill especially since you won't have to pay anything extra from what i am understanding.

I would not push it all, baby it around out of boost until it has been tuned properly.

yeah, i really dont know what i "should" do, it was just pure pain to be without the car, so i pretty much gave Aaron the " OK " and told him i was ready to take it home when i was there, he talked to bill on the phone, and he said it would be best for me to just come back later, so he himself can get the tuning to a T and get the numbers i wanted. i'm workin on loading the pictures i do have of it that he sent me the day before i picked it up... pretty much though, my car is the prototype so to say with the S20G turbo, so i cant wait to go get this thing tuned perfectly... like Aaron told me as i was leaving up there, he said,,,,, "there is a monster put together under that hood, and you will see what i mean when we get you tuned up better" so, lol, that keeps me anxiously waiting....

well, as of right now, if i mash it, it will spike up to 20 psi, then settle down at 14 psi... so, the goal to reach 400 whp is all in the tuning i have to get done from bill, and it should be running a constant, smooth 25 psi, and all that easily handled by bone stock internals... still gonna do a rebuild though, just be play it safe... and,, oh,,, WOW,,,,, the hahn BOV sounds AWESOME!!! dont know if any of yall have it, but i,, personally think its the best sounding BOV i have EVER heard !!! i love it, its not just a plain WOOSH of air,, or an annoying squeak, its a perfect, massive rush of air with a nice CHIRP to it.. you gotta get it if ya dont have it...

i also have the new pics up, just 3 of them that i got e-mailed to me before i picked it up. i need to get off my lazy A** and take some more pics and vids lol

^^^ well its a race to 400whp 5 more whp and im there. good luck with your turbo swap. with my kit we're spiking to 30 psi then settling to 27 we're trying to control boost using HP tuners but im going to switch back to my manual boost controller cuz i only want to see 24-25 psi. we get one good run then it max's out the map sensor and goes into limp mode we still have a lot of work to do.

yep, same situation here,, i was there at hahn racecraft all day the day i got it back, and every program that was tried, was rediculously powerful, but overboost, led to limp mode... at one time,,, the car made 425 whp and 430 wtq, but that was at 30 psi with a serious overboost issue... NOT GOOD, so like i said, i just gotta wait for bill to get back, so he can work his magic with it, and i'll be set. the way it feels right now, my guess would be that i'm runnin somewhere around 340-350 whp.. it hits really hard at 4500 rpm... so a lil bit of fine tuning and all that and i should get that 400 whp and a lot smoother, & equal powerband.

they use HP tuners from what i saw, they have a dynojet dyno as well, very good place to go gety stuff done, ya just gotta be patient, bill is in florida for a while yet... its hard to get ahold of them right now, but the best,,,, very best way to ge ahold of them is to just e-mail them,,, e-mail Aaron, he's the one doing all hte installs/tuning/dyno runs right now...

hey,, boostking,,, just wondering, what kit is that you got on your SS/TC..... i saw the pics, and you had the recirc system deleted and made it atmospheric? sweet.... how did you tune that contraption up? cuz from what i know,, the comoputer in these LNF's are hardheaded, and they dont like to be messed with.... anyways, nice work, nice ride.. you runnin all that on stock internals as well? thats what i'm doin, and i'm only pushin around 350 whp, runnin strong as ever. aint come across nobody that makes anything like that for these bad boys yet ya know?

Holy crap $7000. I have approx $2500 into my car and I have everything except your super 20G turbo (Not all Hahn stuff). I hope you make more than 350 whp out of it for all the money you paid.

Thanks!!

If you use a mbc than it's easy but if you use the factory boost sol. Then you have to be spot on. I will be giving details soon!
