Finally some Stage Kit Ratings w/ dyno graph

Dont know if this has been found yet(too excited to look around) They finally released the hp/tq numbers for the stage kit. Not too bad if u ask me. HP could be higher And this only the stage 1 before the addition of an intake. Torque curve looks alot better over stock

280hp@5100rpm
320tq@4300rpm

ME=FAIL.....W/E idk To retain full warranty im moderately happy with those numbers. Could it be better, of course. How much hp/tq do you think an intake is good for?

How come on the graph the tq completely falls off after 5k rpm?

Well I had missed that post. So thanks for drawing my attention to it! As far as torque dropping off after 5k rpm I think that's pretty typical. If you were able to maintain a constant torque above 5k your hp levels would be huge.

I think the drop in torque is due to the car not being able to keep up with fuel demand at that rpm and advance timing enough. I think you would need upgraded ignition modules and fuel injectors/fuel pump to make more power at high rpms. But I am no expert by any means. I could be talking out of my ass. Lol. I wish the chart would show hp and torque all the way up to redline.

All in all 250 ft lbs of torque at 5500 rpm or whatever isn't bad imho.

" The factory learn-down is also removed with this kit so everyone with exhaust, etc will be seeing some added gains."

EXCELLENT!!

When can it be purchased?

The drop after 5k rpm is to protect the turbo from running over it's safe rpm limit. The gm stage kit use an algorithm to estimate the turbo shaft rpm, this is why the drop in torque is linear. The small stock turbo can only push so much air, this is why our cars can make high torque numbers down low but less peak hp up top. The stock lnf does the same, here is my car stock dyno.

The direct injection injectors are not the problem. They can support way more than the GM ****-tastic stage 1 will put out. The tiny baby-turbo is the problem. Bigger turbo = better power curve on teh LNF. THe LNF is a funny motor tho, IMO. Powerband is too narrow for my liking

The powerband is narrow because the DI system cannot efficiently inject above 6500 or even with our stock turbo. My injection time flatlines at 5.7mS at 6500 or soon the stock turbo. Put a big turbo on there and you will have a much narrower powerband trust me.

Yes, those numbers are crank.

There is a new chart as well posted on GMTunerSource.com. Apparently some of the engineers had a late night on Friday when they made the graph and didn't scale the RPM numbers correctly.

and may i ask how much this kit will cost?

280hp/ 320ftlbs with stock warranty in place ..ill take it

EDIT: is this actually a turbo upgrade? or just a tune to bump up the PSI and get a little bit more hp and torque?

The second I know there will be a post on GMTS and you guys will know.

Also, both Stage 1 and Stage 2 do not include a new turbo of any kind.

So id assume that with an intake we would be looking at something like 300hp/340tq?

Hmm...That Trifecta+CIA sri combo is looking tasty as well. Wish they had some real numbers posted up with it

Yeah, come to think of it, that's true. That's what I get for posting from my phone in a hurry while at work. I stand corrected, and for good reason
