Green Spring with Trifecta 21psi flash seems to hold boost just fine so it's green for me...

I need to try adding a washer to see if it makes a difference. I have a modified airbox snorkel, K&N drop-in filter, and all else is stock. It does seem a little louder when releasing part-throttle, mid-rpm, medium boost... Otherwise it sounds stock, which is fine by me.
switched to the green spring... the loud whistle went away and the 24psi boost spike came back. Success.

with your tune going that high on boost have you tried the yellow spring or adding in a washer or 2 to the green spring and seeing if the spikes go away?

All tunes are going to spike higher than where they settle. Some even spike to 24 and settle on 18 at the end of the powerband.... its the turbo running out of breath. People are spiking higher and settling higher with this BPV because their wastegate tables were maxed on a leaky BPV. Now since they have a working BPV, its bolting the demanded air loads. A retune will be sufficient, but yes spiking and settling is normal through the midrange. And yea spiking at 25 and settling at 22 is a good thing.

....uhhhh...yah know boost = BACK Pressure=HIGHER TEMPS... high boost not always a *good thing*. FLOW is a good thing. Spike to 25 is NOT a good thing.

if it was holding 25 PSI, that is 1 PSI about its efficiency range. (that would be a bad thing) Heat does not come from back pressure.... Heat comes from the turbo doing work. If you have no cats back pressure isn't much of an issue. My coupe spikes to 26PSI and holds over 20. I also have IAT's 2 degrees above ambient at a 120MPH. So a lil PSI spike doesn't seem to bother my motor.

For some reason the picture that Modern Performance has posted doesn't look the same as what I've seen others post?

Why the difference in the nipple/connector thingy?

So this new design should still work for us? It won't cause the hose to have to bend too much to reach the new position and get pinched will it?
