Fun while it lasted..

Officially off the corn juice Ive played with it as much as possible for right now, got the MPG's WAY up and have played with every scenario power wise. Yesterday I ran it almost empty and filled up with regular ol' 93.

I will say tho, with the new tables from HPT it's still just as fun to drive. I recorded a redic amount of airload % and was able to hold it far better then we used to be able to. 344% flat to just under 5k. Looking forward to going back to the dyno and seeing if I can beat the old pump gas numbers

edit: I should add that getting the E85 was a insane out-of-the-way roadtrip, if it was easily available I wouldn't even consider going back to pump gas lol..

Yea, if I went from my house to either "close" station, it was 60-80 miles each way to either lol. if I left from work on a long lunch break, it was 25-30mins each way to the one in NJ. I would bring a bunch of cans, and fill up the car while I was there. It did last almost 2 weeks of driving using a 1:1 blend but def got old making that trip. I did a pull this morning tho and was shocked that it didn't feel slow lol.

Must be a placebo effect lol

That's good, though. It can't be TOO much slower than on E. I mean, just by the butt dyno it could be a bit hard to tell. I think going the other way you notice it more.

It was 350/424 on E and 328/404 on pump gas. The pump gas will def be a lil higher new with all the new stuff, that was on the old tables still. So it's not TOO far off.

Here in South Carolina there are E85 stations peppered all across the state. They're almost on every corner, but I know that there is a major pipeline that goes through the state so that may be the reason why they are.

Every now and then i go back to regular gas if i cant get over to the E station, Every time i do i always see higher boost levels also. I think it has to do with adjusting the injector constant and causing the car to see far less load in certain areas. I did a test on this by doing a mix of adjusting injector constant and Maf tables instead of just the constant for the 35%. I had much better results with boost this way.

Yea, when you adjust that injector constant it skews the load amount and then you run higher WGDC with lower DAL's. Also throws off the DIC info for MPG's lol. I also found the more constant that I ran, the more E I could throw into the mix.

Def nowhere close to what you can on E but still a really good bump over your 91 octane! 91 octane is tough to make good power with!

Yeah, I was seriously considering getting Tuned for e85, But then the more I thought about it I realized that with the Limited Amount of Gas Stations that have e85, The more Annoying the Drive would be to Fill Up! Does anyone know why it is so rampant in the MidWest and so Scarce in the North East?

I tried talking to all of the local stations, most didn't even know what it was and the rest just had 0 interest in trying to get some. We looked at a building for a shop that has pumps out front, if we had bought that I would've pursued E85 myself lol. Our own pump would be BAD ASS!!

Can you have switchable E85 and 93 tunes, like vince does with a stealth tune?

You can't change between pump gas and E85, someone said that last time and Vince told me that still isn't possible. But if he has it available we can certainly add that with a combo tune using our custom tune.

I guess i could just keep both tunes loaded on the laptop and flash the tunes as needed.

I dont have any plans to do more with this car other then playing with the tunes constantly. We've had several customer cars with different turbo setups on them to show what we can do with those as well. This is my DD, supposed to be normal car lol. My Subaru is the go nuts car.
