yes, I have a pretty big problem with it. My gas mileage suffers greatly because I can't seem to stay off the throttle! Seriously though, I haven't come across any problems at all. Great purchase for me! I would get it.

Most issues have been install problems. Fixable though.

I have not heard of any blown engines/trans or clutch problems.

i do have a shortage of tire though. First set only lasted to 15k miles.

hahahaha so true

I think one guy blew a piston on a GMS1 tune but that was warrantied. And IIRC some of the more experienced tuners on this board feel that the GMS1 tune does run a tad bit lean at certain points of the rev range at WOT.

Had the GMS1 for two months with no issues with 2000 miles on it, other than I have a lead foot on the gas pedal. No CEL, No knocking, No electrical, or any other issues, except I didn't pay $600 for the part. Gotten it for $400 on ebay just in time brand new.

We should change the name of the site to either GMS1.net or WhatDownpipeIsBest.net....

ya, big time hit on this. i used to have an average fuel economy of just below 7L/100km and since gms1 i don't think i've seen better than 8.5L/100km. And i know this is low regardless but that's because my drive to work is 40km each way with 2 stop signs on the way and the rest is cruisin at 95 so it's uber efficient. lol. regardless, i get about 100km less out of a tank. i think the first tank after gms1 i barely got 400km out of it. (usually get about 600 now and before gms1 close to 700)

My problem is that it blew my lower charge pipe off and scared the jebus out of me with the huge backfire.... Hoping that I can get it back on myself. If not, off to the dealer she will go.

yeah no major problems. solved the gas mileage problem with a catless downpipe. but that means you still cant get on it if you want good gas mileage, but it really helped on the highway.
