Going from LSJ to LNF Need some Opinions on MODs!!

Hey Guys, So I was going to just put a TVS on my LSJ and call it a day when a good friend of mine who also is a Sales Manager/Used Car Manager at the Ford Dealership that I work at(I'm a Finance Manager) Basically talked me into just getting another car because its just not worth putting another $2,000 into my car when it already has 74,000 Miles on it. So I have a chance to get a 2009 SS t/c with only 35,000 miles on it and has nice Gold Painted Stock Rims with a Black Exterior, I believe it has every option besides RPD Display and has some MOD's already, Here's the List: Hahn Upper & Lower Charge Pipping, ZZP 3" Cat Back Exhaust, Dejon Intake, TTR Rotated Tranny Mounts and 6K HID Lamps, I'm 95% sure I can purchase for $14,000 and think I'm gonna do it, So first what do you guys think of the deal AND Second what other MODs should I get....I was already thinking of prolly gettin a K & N SRI and Some kind of a Down Pipe and it will need a Tune as well, Anything I'm over looking? Also, I'm nervious that I'll miss my Supercharged SS because I love the whine and the Instant Boost, Thanks

good price

I paid 14.5k for my 08 SS/TC with 54k miles on it. Had Hahn CAI and Injen Upper charge pipe, no RPD.

my LSJ had 94k miles on it and i got 8k trade in. The whine was awesome, but the power with the TC is even better. Not to mention the rims look better. With a Tune you are pushing over 300 whp and sounds like most of the supporting mods are done for you. the only thing i Hate about my TC is the TPMS.

Stock boost is 15 PSI.

Good choice on swapping out that Dejon intake. ZZP 3" DP would be a nice upgrade too. I think you're making a nice upgrade in car overall.

Lets see some pics too.

I love it way more than my LSJ. its much faster, I hated my yellow LSJ and got Red, which is what I wanted in the first place

Sounds like a fair deal to me. Check for a tune and go hit 3rd gear at 50mph to make sure the clutch doesn't slip. Other than that, you're probably golden.

Yeah, I was on the fence for a while now between, Turbo swapping my LSJ and goin TVS, But I work 60+ hours a week and I dont have the time to Turbo Swap PLUS I cant get over the fact that If I put all that money(Turbo Swap) into my car and the bottom line is my car has 74K on it and its not gettin any younger and with those miles I just wouldn't be comfortable dumping a ton of money into it, It'd be different if my car only had 40K on it, Ya know?

Yep, I would like to bring it to Nick at BYT and have him do a HP Tune at 24 PSI or do you guys think thats too high for that Turbo?

Nope, thats perfect, especially if you grab an aftermarket intercooler and downpipe. Its not too aggressive and not too conservative. Pretty well the sweet spot for the stock turbo with full bolt ons.

I prefer to either

A) Drive my cars until they fall apart (2 working on the Cobalt)

B) have some drunk SOB total my Fking mustang....

So I'm going LSJ-T and wait until everything goes kaboom then buy another used car and start over. LNF is a good choice man. I really had to think about it. It wasn't out of my price range but I love the S/C sound. Plus I like to build power makes me smile more at the end of the day. Best of luck! Looks like a great deal though.

I gotta say, after having an '03 Cobra, then a Cobalt turbo, I miss the whine, too.
