Good price ?
Tomorrow I'll be in the passenger seat of a 09 g85 tc.. It has 65xxx miles and has a Hahn CAI, injen hot side charge pipe, modern performance cat back, forged BPV, ZZP downpipe catless. And a hp tune at 25psi.. It also has progressive rear sway bar and upgraded front sway bar links r1 rotors that are cross drilled and slotted and hawk pads all the way around. That's just a bonus I guess lol. OH YEAH! And a TWM short throw
Overall price is 14 large... Good price? I Am familiar with the LNF and know a great amount about it. But want your guys opinions too. What do I look for.. And is it a good price??
Hope to have it in my driveway Monday night.
Thanks guys!

Not too bad of a price. Basically mods are free. Don't ever pay more bc a car has mods unless it's a nice set of aftermarket wheels and even then it's a stretch.
Things to check would be spark plugs, compression, scan for hidden/stored codes. Check body for oddball dents and scratches and of course a carfax. Look underneath for oil and coolant leaks. Alignment (does she drive straight, tire wear etc).
I would say its worth $13k ish to me personally.

What do you mean the plug? And I was going to cause its obo hehe. And is the ingen charge pipe okay?? I know it's just a piece of metal but there intakes for the LSJ are straight garbage. And I read about the Hahn intakes .. The first generation of them were bad the they remade them?! How do I tell?
Seems Okay , I wouldn't pay more than 13.5 for it though. 65xxx seems much for an 09. My advice is be patient and keep looking . Took me over 2 years to finally find mine. I have talked to over 200 dealers about cobalt SS' not exaggerating either.
Its not a bad deal, but I would keep looking. Me personally , I like to mod the car myself
X2 on this. Thinking of getting some myself. Sorry for side tracking

I live in South Texas and bought my SS/TC all the way from Joliet, Illinois. I know it was a little risky, but it was a 2010 with 12,400 miles. It was pretty much almost new. There are truckers that ship vehicles every day. Sure my shipping was $600 but I would rather do that then spend money on a vehicle with 65xxx miles on an 09. Keep looking my friend. I know EXACTLY what you're going through. I have almost boughten 2-3 SS' and decided to wait because I had to ask others and myself "is this worth it?" When you see the right one , you will not have to ask that question.
65k miles is waaay too many miles. plus you have no idea how its been driven with those miles either. even though its a plus its completely modded, its also a negative too because you know the person was driving it hard at some point, you just dont know how much...id say pass, just because the miles are way too high for that year of a car....
A nice, low mileage '09, '10 SS is worth 15k-18k in my opinion, but its also where you live and the market that allows for the value of a car....gl

Mods lower the price. I wouldn't buy a car I know was modded because you don't know the quality of work and you can assume it was driven hard. Id be worried about the tune too. Bad tune will mess stuff up and there are a lot of people out there who attempt to do it themselves.
I agree with all these guys, $14k is high for modded 65k mile LNF. And stuff like all those power mods, and then cheap bling rotors is stuff I like to look out for, Ive found that you can USUALLY presume that an LNF with drilled and slotted rotors didntlead an easy life.
exactly, but like i said earlier, you dont know if it was beat on(prbably was) and you dont know if its been tuned most of its life...dont do it.
09-10 cobalt ss fully loaded are the best bang for buck out there, so keep looking for a white one with all black interior
and one that has around 40k miles or less and untuned...goodluck

I would find out how long its been modded (i.e. how long its been hammered on with possible off tune). Im no pro with the LNF but all the guys out there selling a LNF have hammered on the car regardless of mod list, offer him 12k and test drive it like your gonna drive it when you own it. Pay attention to the AFR @ WOT and any misses and stuff like that.
