got a new BOV and charge pipe, few question

i got a greddy type-rs BOV and im going to be getting the flange welded on here in a few days. i wanted to know if i can even do this because i was looking and it looks as if the BOV is built right into the turbo? anyway wanting to know where the BOV is on my car (the stock one) any info would be great!

All you need is a block off plate from hahn, this will plug up the stock bov.
However some people do experience driveability problems since you are venting metered air, to remedy this you would need to stick the maf in the ic pipe after the bov and before the throttle body and use hptuners to make some maf adjustments.

Ah you mean not using the block off plate? Sure you could also hook it up that way, i just prefer using the block off plate since it gets rid of the bov and a vacuum line. As for the driveability problems, they might still show up.

There's not too much of driveability problems because the computer constantly adjusts itself.

when you get the car tuned you wont have any issues what so ever.... the only times ive heard of people having problems with bogging or anything is when they drive the car hard.

just ordered a greddy type rs BOV and block off plate. Your saying that if I just put the block off plate on stock BPV, and take the hose off the BPV and put it on the BOV im set?

How exactly do you go about routing the BOV if you dont have a block off plate, I expect to do a kids BOV this sunday, and everything shipped but the block off plate so im gonna hook it up without it untill that shows up. Dejons site shows 1 pic but i cant make it bigger without getting a 404 error or something.

Anyways, anyone who has hooked up a Blow off valve on their SS turbo please chime in and let me know exactly how its done. 1 small tube coming off the BOV. 1 tube coming off the stock bypass valve. 3 hoses going to 1 black piece on intake manifold. what do i do

Take the line from the turbo and run it to the greddy. That's the hose on the left of the sensor. And then you will have to t off the top hose on the sensor and run it back into the turbo

^i just installed a greddy rs on my buddys car today and thats exactly what i did. very easy. But he has a block off plate on the way and then i imagine i just take the line off the BPV and block it off and put a line solely on the BOV.

Technically with the T-set up theres 2 blow off valves....thats weird

Recirc kit for the BOV fixes the rich spike issues. Dejon sells a recirc kit. You need to have a 1.25" fitting welded onto your intake post MAF to finish off the conversion from VTA to Recirc.
