Arrow Got some extra cash. Help on mods?

So I guess I have some extra cash, and I wanna get your guys' opinion on what I should get.

I really want a new intercooler.. The stock one is really small..

I'm craving some new injectors, maybe around 600 cc, but people are telling me that there aren't any out yet..

I've been chipped by Superchips, and I don't really like it. My boost spikes to like 23 psi, goes back to like 19. I'm thinking about getting it tuned by Trifecta. Or should I get it done somewhere else?

From what I understand trifecta isn't as potent as HPTuners. 20psi hptuner is faster than 20psi trifecta.

That's not saying trifecta is bad, because I have no complaints. I think they're good.

With the SS/TC you don't need bigger injectors. The DI system flows plenty. It's not until MUCH bigger turbos and E85 that you need to worry about fueling. And even then, with E85 you just need to massage the injectors and ramp the fuel pressure to make sure the HP Fuel Pump is keeping up.

As for a tune with Trifect VS. HP Tuners... I'm not really gonna touch that. I personally have no experience with Trifecta... I hear they are very good tunes (Vince does leave them a little rich for safety) but I hear they are very comparable to each other.

I persoanlly have HP Tuners. I tuned my car using what I learned from my personal tuner I had before and also the information provided by reading A LOT online on other forums. There are lots of reputable tuners out there who could tune you. Where are you located and maybe you can search around for the closest one.

I'm located in the Tacoma, Washington area.. Basically in Seattle.
So what you're saying is that Trifecta is cheaper?

Trifecta is cheaper. They offer a budget tune for $200ish.

or

$350 with datalogging. Both require you to put a $200 deposit on a cable. return the cable and get your $200 back

I think Vince is located in Seattle

If you have a good local tuner, go with an HP tune.
If not, Trifecta is your answer, but make sure you buy the data cable so that you can change your tune later when required.

Other than that, get a catless DP

Do your Charge pipes and Intercooler all at the same time. ZZP and Treadstone both offer great kits in the $800-$1000 range depending on what options you choose.

No need for a combo tune anymore as HP Tuners has a lot more unlocked now and can tune just as well as Trifecta.

Trifecta does have that budget tune as said by Vahdyx, but a more complete tune is recommended. You'll be wanting more power after getting use to the $200 tune and will end up spending more in the long run.

I'm not positive of available tuners in your area. Could put out a wanted thread localy?

Don't quote me on this, but I think HPtuner is $500-$600 for the software and cable, $100 for a license and then additional money to get tuned. Not sure if this is 100% accurate. If you know of an HPtuner in your area you can skip the cost of owning the software though, then you just pay license and the tuner. So it can potentially be cheaper

You can get your trifecta tune and cable from Modern Performance. They only sell the custom tune not the budget tune. Dodge SRT4 - Dodge Caliber SRT4 - Dodge Neon - Chevrolet Cobalt SS Performance Parts and Accesories

If you want the budget tune, the only way I know how to do it is to go onto trifecta's website

An HPTuners, cable and hardware and software along with enough credits to tune atleast 2 vehicles will cost you $499. If you want to learn how to tune and spend the time on it that is all you need other than time and patience. IF you want some body else to take the data you log and make a tune for you they will more than likely charge you about 100 bucks. so you are looking at about 600 total. if you have a friend that can utilize HPT as well you could split the cost but make sure it is good friend just in case you have a falling out and don't have access to the tuner any more.

If you purchase the program it is about 5-600. You can have a tuner that has HP tune the car for what ever thier going rate is. Typically around $300 or so, again depends on the tuner. If you purchase the program it comes with credits so you can tune your car for free after the purchase. Then if you needed help you could always contact a tuner that could email tune you or use your program and credits.

Noticed you said something about wanting an IC and pipes. I have the Treadstone TR8 kit and its amazing! Easy install, no fitment issues, and looks beautiful. Just throwing that out there.
