Hahn Charge Pipe Dented Hood

I went to the track this weekend

I just installed my Hahn CP setup on Friday

During the course of drag racing the Hot Pipe came up and caused a dent in my hood

Dent with 4 little dents around it, Paintless Dent place might not be able to fix it

Anyone with the Hahn kit have to modify the length of any of the pipe or somehow tie the pipe down to the engine?

Any pics or suggestions as this is a huge **** off with a Brand New 2010 with under 2000 miles on it

Thanks

Mine did the same. Wheel hop is killer you have to get that fixed and make sure the upper pipe is seated all the way down into the lower driver side pipe I pushed mine down a bit after it dented the hood. Good painless guy will fix you up

if it did that than you have the pipes on backwards. they might look correct but if they are pushing up that far more than likely they are not.

I am running the Tbolts from Hahn

Hot side upper pipe is pushed tight against the pipe coming from the Intercooler

How could i have the pipes wrong?

Pipe hit the hood right at the bend of the Upper Hot Pipe

The lower hot pipe coming from the intercooler is also chattering at the bottom on that cross piece

Anyone had to cut one of the pipes?

I'm pretty sure you dont have to cut them, I dont have the hahn upper cp, but

They wouldn't sell a upper cp that after you buy it, you have to turn around and cut it

It's not 100% that all aftermarket parts will fit as if they were stock so you might just have to play around with it to fit perfectly

Oh and I'm sorry about the hood man that does suck a lot

Here are pics

Shot of hood, dent is hard to catch but its a dent with a few small ones around it

Even if im getting wheel hop this pipe shouldnt hit my hood

Here are pics of the piping

This mark was kinda there when i got the piping so it must have hit someone elses hood also, as i got it from someone else, it hit my HPTuners decal

Do you have the upper and lower pressed together tightly?

wheel hop is what did it, as in first the car hopped very bad causing the pipe to hit the hood.

my local paintless guy fixed me up for 75 bucks

Are you SURE the top pipe is pressed all the way down to the lower one?

Or get a hood blanket lol

Yes the pipes are pressed together end to end

Hood blanket? Would a piece of rubber stuck under the hood disperse the impact?

Im going to get a set of OTTP Stage 2 Mounts as im sure wheel hop helped cause this

But there has to be a way to safe guard this
