Hahn or CIA Downpipe

I wont turn this into another vs thread, I know they seem to be a horse a piece, not offering any advantages over the other. I will admit I would prefer the CIA, BUT

When I went to order a DP today I noticed CIA has a very long lead time, three to six weeks. Like all manufactures, let's just cut the crap and say six. Hahn's lead time is a week or less. I also was able to get ahold of Hahn today and chat with them, who said it would probably be less than a week. I could not get ahold of CIA.

So....heres the question. I don't care about the fifty dollar difference, is the CIA DP worth another five weeks of my time waiting, and probably not have it for the two up coming events I have. Or is the hahn really that comparable that it's not worth that five weeks?

Thoughts?

Three of us were here in the office pretty much all day. I'm not sure why you couldn't get hold of us. I'm still here and it's almost 8 PM.

We build everything to order so we try to build in lots of lead time.

The mentioned header is done and going for coating tomorrow.

I have well over 20 DP's bent. We are just waiting for stainless flanges. (Should be ready Wednesday). So the wait wont be 5 weeks. Give us a call again tomorrow to discuss your order: (425)251-0329.

We're behind on production for a reason. We build nothing but the absolute best. The wait is well worth it.

Thanks guys.

I left a voice mail and I also emailed Beth. Either method of contact works for me, though email is a bit more convenient. As I said I am leaning towards CIA...

My downpipe is being delivered tomorrow. My wait time was only like 2 weeks. Don't be so whiny and let them do their job: making quality parts. Have you all seen the SRI pics in the other thread? The thing looks beautiful.

No do it yourself. It was fun for me. I have never really installed anything myself and this is a perfect way to start out. The only thing that is hard is to get the top bolt.

Gather some friends up and install that thing!

CIA makes great products. The wait is worth it. I want the DP already too but just have to wait it out.

I bought the CIA downpipe, so clearly its the only way to go. Every other way is wrong!

I love the CIA so far. It sounds awesome, spools faster, and lost probably 20lbs off of the stock DP.

I think I'm going to go with CIA - Dan and Beth are always in here, giving updates, etc..

I specifically recall another poster, the one where the turbo blew because a piece came off the Hahn intake, and after quite a few pages of posts, and days on the site, noone from Hahn chimed in, and that's pushing CS a bit - at least a "call us to discuss" would've sufficed.

I'm not saying I wouldn't touch them at all, but just that CIA seems to put out a better vibe, from what little info I have to work on.

ya I caught that thread a while ago when I was still technically a lurker for this forum...

I couldn't believe that happened, or that nothing was done

if memory serves correct the guy was screwed right?

No - in all fairness, I know Hahn stepped up, but to what extent, I don't know.

let's just say it took a while, which is bordering unacceptable in my book.

Not saying I'd cross Hahn off my list entirely, because they have been around a LONG time, and have an excellent track record, and quite frankly, that is hard to do if you're a putz. That being said, maybe the slow/non-response was due to other factors...

But when you see the volume of postings, and updates, and info posted by Dan and Beth, well, it gives you the warm fuzzies, you know, that they give a $hit about their customers.

You can't PAY enough for that!

But, in the case I mentioned above, Hahn did indeed do something, but what exactly i do not know.
