HAHN Company Issues

Original post was made explaining that I ordered a Hahn item that was never shipped out to me, and the company does not answer the phone or return messages. Had to make a claim to get, my money back. Buyer Beware.

"I proceeded to call back 3 times a day for the next 2 weeks with no answer from anybody."

Damn that sucks, I think he's on fb too. I have heard mixed things about the company though.

Call CC company, dispute it. Get your money back, and never go to Hahn again. The end.

I have issues with them, they are over prices and all the piping they make for our car except the exhaust and downpipe, rusts, I advise anyone who has Hahn intake or charge pipe to get rid of them. Especially if ur using water/ meth injection. Take off ur pipes and see if they are rusting inside. My lower ic pipe rusted inside bad and my upper cp rusted on the outside. And their intake, no locking thing on the breather hose to secure the PVC hose. Was slipping off, they refused to admit they need to change it, offered a longer tube, which should make it not slip off but pushed against wires which I didn't like. Not at all impressed. Customer is definitely not right in their books

I had their exhaust, although it seemed to be of good quality, I noticed the packing was coming out like snow while the car was idling on a number of occaisions. I later sold it anyway but was just an observation of mine. Bought new as well.

Yes I have done that and thankfully they have so far resolved the issue, athough HAHN still has 45 days to rectify the matter. I have been kindly refunded by the CC company.

As for the intake material they use, I only drive my car on dry summer days so rusting shouldn't be an issue. If I knew of this before purchasing a few years back, I probably would have went with another brand. Everything looks ok so far.

Thanks for the input and keep em coming, im wondering if anyone else has this issue currently.

The muffler sound deadening material was coming out? That's not a good sign.

Don't have to have salt for rust to form.

Lets put it this way, I am fully bolted with hahn, and I bought all my parts when they were an ILLINOIS BASED COMPANY, what is funny is they moved to florida to keep prices down because of the illinois tax hike of businesses and all. but back to the point, I run my Cool Ram with a Water deflector, no rust on the inside. Dont do meth / water injection so I dont know about that, but I still dont have issues with my Hahn stuff.

Again, i bought my stuff about 6 months after i purchased my LNF, and that was in OCT 09, The move they did to florida coulda back fired on them. and now they are feeling the impacts of that move.

I was so pissed they moved to florida that I dont buy from them again. If I need anything, Ill go to ZZP or somewhere else.

Never once have I had issues with their intake rusting on my vehicle (for the roughly 4 years it's been on the vehicle) or any vehicle I have seen in person. Apparently it has happened to some, but I can only comment on the ones I have dealt with, which were all completely fine. As far as company practices as a whole, I really don't have an opinion leaning one direction or another.

I've spoke with Bill Hahn Jr personally, as recent as this past weekend. Right after Thanksgiving, Bill came down with a serious case of the flu and dealt with the effects of that for a couple of weeks. Shortly after he had the flu, his wife Aubrey came down with the same sickness. I won't share their personal details, but the flu only made matters worse for her. Their children came in for Christmas, and they also traveled up north for a few days to visit family. You people have to realize that the Hahn ' s are people also, and deserve the same royalties as we do.

I spent over $2000 with them during black friday. I took a weekend trip to personally go visit them shortly after. Bill Hahn Jr literally has may 3 other fabricators/welders working with him. His business is mostly based out of his own home. When he isn't available to work, it really affects his output. Not to mention that Cobalts are just a fraction of his business pool. The man supports other products for other vehicles, as well as the motorcycle racing industry.

His reasons for moving to Florida were not just business. He has quite a few personal reasons for the move, none of which I am not at liberty to discuss those things.

Bill and his crew are working very hard to catch up on orders and emails. Like I said I talked to him very recently. Let me encourage you to find him on Facebook and talk to him on there. He runs a great business and really pours into what he does for the community. 95% of you could learn more about your car in a single day from him then you have since you've owned your car. I still haven't received my parts either, but I know why and I'm patient. Geez, this microwave generation...

I spent a lot of money with them on Black Friday for a complete exhaust and down pipe. It is installed now and is of amazing quality. Bill answered my emails within hours usually and was of great help with the whole process. He also made me a great deal. I would buy from them again for sure with no hesitation.

I'm planning on doing a review on the exhaust at some point.

When I ordered my intercooler, it wasn't shipped. However, I called 2 days later and they put me through to bill Hahn jr who apologized profusely and took care of the order himself at that point and had it shipped out by the end of the day. He said they had an employee leave without notice and it left them scrambling.

And to those whose packing was coming out of the exhaust: which engine was it for? I got the LNF one and the resonator and muffler are magnaflow brand. Seem to be of great quality.
