Hahn Intake

So I just took the intake apart to clean the filter. Upon doing this I found the intake pipe to be pretty much rusted thru. Needless to say I'm pretty upset and just ordered a K&N.

Well the K&N should be ordered this week with either a motor mount or short throw shifter.

You'll have no regrets with the K&N.

yup Hahn sucks. I will discourage everyone from buying their pipes when I can. they could do a much better job, but choose not to

Hahn's exhaust for the TC is awesome. I've also heard good things about their intercoolers. I HAVE heard quite a bit of bad stuff about their intakes though.

I have ZZP catless dp and muffler delete. I'm not to concerned with exhaust now with the stock turbo. I hope to get the intercooler and piping soon just gotta figure out from where.

BUMP!!!

So I forgot I needed to be somewhere today and my Wife was busy at work with the Boss (the car). So I did something I don't know how I feel about it. I sawed off the rusted part of my Hahn intake and turned it into a SRI. I feel like the car is more responsive and like others have said you can hear the turbo more. I like it but the only problem is the hood doesn't shut and latch like it should. I'm going to try and adjust it tomorrow and see what happens.

Well 2 ZZP's is a start. I seriously haven't looked into the intercooler upgrade yet so I really don't have a clue of where I want to buy.

The ZZP kit is very high quality. Pics in my LDK swap thread. I recommend the increased clearance size unless you've driven low cars for years and never scrape. The full size will stick out below the bumper. The pipes have a really cool black textured sort of finish and weigh nothing. The silicone couplers and good clamps will prevent boost leaks if installed correctly. Very happy with mine.

Now if I just had an engine that would stay together....

Yeah it's no question that ZZP makes high quality and quantity of products. I'm all about spending more for better products and sometimes you get both.

If there's one thing that's almost always true about car parts it's that expensive stuff makes you go faster or installs and looks better or stands up to abuse. There are things out there that are cheap and good but far and few between.

Lemme just say that I don't like plastic end tanks clipped to metal, especially when I'm gonna be pushing higher boost. Metal and plastic don't mix in the first place..

Oh how did you know?! Lol what I'm just trying to imply is that its better to have a intercooler made of one consistent type of material that withstand everything.

Also I think someone else said it, best to get the increased clearance if you plan on lowering the balt... If you get the intercooler kit like me it comes with the increased clearance option already

Yeah I will more than likely buy ZZP with the increased clearance.
