Hahn MODpipe and 3" cat back :)

after 4.5 hrs of being underneath the slobalt, my 3" turbo back exhaust is complete... i got the modpipe, and am currently running the catless option, followed by the hahn 3" cat back... the car responded amazingly to it, and sounds like pure sex! i've never heard an exhaust note like this, it's quite mellow, and even w/ no cat, it's not raspy at all... i was quite surprised w/ how well everything fit, and even more surprised how amazing it sounds! you can barely hear the turbo thru the exhaust from the cabin (from what i'm told, it's more audible outside the car) i def. picked up a noticeable gain in bottom end, and top end... the mid range stayed the same, but now at 2.5-3k rpms i'm almost at 22 psi... anyone w/ a turbo balt, i recommend this in a heart beat

Nice, 4.5 hour install isn't bad for a full exhaust either

yeah, tuned, and what not...

the exhaust really shouldn't have taken that long, i was kinda goofing off while doing it... the only hard part is the top bolt of the begining of the catback, that was a ***** *****! anyways, i'd post vids, but it's pouring ass rain outside

i'll write a review in ab a week after i get a feel for it

i figured the modpipe would have leak probs bc there's no gaskets between the 3 separate parts, but so far it's holding well, no leaks anywhere. the stock dp looks to be ab the same size as the 3" dp, minus a cat (which btw, the stock dp is heavy as ****!) this tone is still unbelievable, it's not raspy or ricer, it's a deep, mellow tone, that growls at WOT...

The stock downpipe is 2.5" the collector/ flange might be about the same size on both though!

I was wondering the same thing? He said he has a tune, so most likely the DTC is turned off... but my question is... can it pass emissions when the DTC is turned off? Cause if it can't then wth are you gonna do when it comes time to do it? You'd have to put the stocker on and get a new tune???
I'm thinking it'll still pass emissions cuz thats just to much damn work.

So it'll still pass emissions just not inspection??

if your state isn't retarded like NC yes. I know in Missouri they don't hook a computer up to your car or nothing they just do VISUAL inspections!

But usually catless means "NON-DOT" approved or "OFF-ROAD ONLY" so NO

lol figured... the main reason I asked is because my jeep threw a code for the cat.... and in PA they hook **** up to the computer so the computer reads the ECU DTC's to see if all the parameters are met... and if they arent it wont pass... so if the exhaust code is deleted... i figured it pass but i guess not.
I want a SS/TC but wanna run straight exhaust. I don't wanna have to retune just for emmissions but i'll figure something out.. o well

so when the DTC's are deleted so the check engine light won't appear... it will not effect emissions testing? even tho the car wouldn't pass with the DTC not deleted...

sorry in advance for being a retard

i haven't thrown any codes yet, so the modpipe is doing it's job... also, the great thing ab it is that i can still put a cat on w/o having to change the whole dp

^^^i could have been done a lot sooner, but like i said, i was clowning around

If you have a lift and all the tools required, set aside. On your back in a garage is a diff story. With all the set up and clean up and all the bs-ing in between, that sounds about right.
