Has Anyone Used This?

http://www.genuinesaab.com/catalog/p...09a6be9629b479

Wondering if anyone has used this? I love the look/feel of the stock shifter and wouldnt mind making its throws shorter. Wondering if this would be a great alterative?

This seems interesting. I have heard alot of mixed opinions on Short Throw shifters some say it's great unless you really bag on the shifter others say it's hard on the tranny

I installed my TWM shifter and loved it, I will never go back to a stock shifter. Every car I've owned I've put an STS in and it has always made the drive more fun, smooth, and precise.

X10. Spend the money and do it right. The stick feels like moving a knife through soft butter. Plus it looks official.

no but i would be willing to say it works good. Looks like you cut the shaft to desired length and then use those set screws to hold it in place. Try it out Mike then LMK how it works!!

I need to get a short throw soon, too. My stock shifter feels like I'm trying to move a stick around in a bag of rocks.

give it a try and let us know. i have not tried it. from my knowledge i hear the biggest difference is just adding the aluminum base bushings. i hear most short throws arent that much different from stock.

Hmm this is tempting, I might have to order it. Im the same way, I like the stock shifter, but of course a shorter throw would be better. Let me know if youre gonna get it... We can have a STS install party

On another note, that price difference listed on their site is quite a savings!! $2.90!! woohoo

To me it looks like it relocates the linkage on the shifter,My brothers Accord had someting like this.

Bingo. This doesn't make the shifter handle shorter, this makes the THROW shorter. Huge difference.

That is what all short throw shifters do.

Making the handle shorter does not effect the throw.

Ok got both the short throw and the solid mounts installed today- Makes a huge difference the throw is very short and the solid mounts also make a big difference. So yes it works really well, And you can put a different leather shift knob on if you want like a momo, etc. I took pictures because the instructions are not of a ss/tc. All I did was read the other short throw stickies minus removing the shift knob or anything shift boot stays on. All around great product and save about 150 smakers. So I guess I was the guinea pig lol.
