Here we go with the bolt ons...

Ok so today I ordered my Treadstone Stage 3 kit. When I bought this car I was not going to do anything to it. I was going to leave it bone stock. I just wanted a fun, fast daily driver. Then I met up with Andrew while out in Tucson and got a tune. After that my plans went to hell in a hand basket. I still kinda can't believe that I just ordered that stuff, I'm really excited to see how it turns out. I will keep you all updated if you are interested. I will be taking plenty of pictures when I start the tear down and build up process. The kit includes the upgrades below. Stay tuned for the finished job.

1) Cold Air Intake
2) Charge Pipes
3) Intercooler
4) BOV (BPV block off plate too)
5) Catless Down Pipe
6) 3 inch exhaust, no muffler, resonator only.
7) It will be HP tuned to top it all off.

I'm not sure what kind of power I will be getting. Right now I have a trifecta tune and a K&N drop in with an airbox mod (thanks drewbroo). I haven't had it dynoed at this point yet but I have been told I should be seeing around 280hp at the wheels. The best 1/4 at this point has been 13.8@107mph. When the whole thing is tuned and finished I will put up the dyno numbers as well as 1/4 mile times to compare.

If you want to check out the kit you can find it here

Ummmm, a turbo upgrade could have much more efficient, then tune for it. Pipes are, well, just pipes and well I'm just rambling. Seems you had spare cash and have no power goals. I have a feeling you will be disappointed at the end.

Whoa! 2500 for just bolt-ons? There are full turbo kits that cost as much. You could have pieced everything together cheaper man. I thought this was a full turbo kit. I mean, more power to ya for modding your ride but thats a lot of $$$ for just bolt-on's. Hope it turns out good for you bro.

I think you'll be happy with your purchase, their stuff seems to be really high quality and not what everyone else buys.

What are these intakes like, has anyone logged these? I've been thinking about an intake lately but I don't feel like overpaying/waiting for a K&N

Member cardelino I believe has the full treadstone kit. You should shoot him a pm and ask you question.

The treadstone parts do look like quality parts, I have no doubt. Im sure you will be happy with the kit, I just get sticker shock when looking at the price lol
Again, good luck with it man!

Thanks. I'm waiting for one of the experienced tuners like Term or BYT to chime in and give their two cents. I may have to talk to cardelino though. It seems like the K&N is the best one out there but it's $350 for a piece of pipe with a filter on it

I can't tell from pics or description but does this thing have any sort of an air straightener?

Well I didn't exactly pay sticker, they were looking for cars to sponsor so I took it. As soon as the turbo manifold is perfected I will do that as well ith a bigger turbo. It seems as though they are still working on it and they want to perfect it first. Besides I want to get everything ready for the turbo. I would have had to do all of this anyways.

When I tune it I will advise everyone of trims of the intake. I'll be using trifecta/HP combo tune. Terminator will be helping me with the tune. I have all the confidence in the world that I will get to 12s so we shall see, hopefully I'm not wrong. Cmiller was running 12's with a stock turbo. I am hoping to be somewhat close to mid 12s, since most people with full bolt ons are around there. I'll be getting sticky tires too. Slicks after a clutch upgrade.

Like I said I'll be taking pictures so if anyone has any questions about it in the future you can ask. I'll be posting some up on this thread as well, not too many but if you have requests I'll email you just PM me. I should be getting the kit next week, it will ship after the catback is done cooling off from the welds.

I can get you our stage 1 package at a great deal right now. Retail price for the intake is $280, shipped to your door we can do $238

The only thing you need to get is a Trifecta tune $300, we can ship you the cable, flash your car one time, and send the cable back. If you want to keep the cable, just pay $200 for future modification and re flashes.

This alone is worth up to 50 HP, granted your turning up the boost slightly with the tune....
if you leave boost at stock level, the intake alone will net 15whp increase.....

let me know...

I have the Trifecta dealer kit so I could do the re-tune through Vince no prob, but before I ever buy an intake I would like to know just how bad this intake skews Fuel Trims? Is there an air straightener?

no intake is perfect, unless you put a honeycomb air flow straightener in front of the maf, or a screen.
Were going to start making the honeycomb inserts available for all of our MAF meters, this will infact make the perfect MAF pipe!

Ok guys so I got a present from UPS on Friday. Everything looks sexy as hell and I had to take some pictures for those of you that are interested. Here are a few of the highlights.

1st up is the exhuast. It's aluminized because here in Southern California there isn't any weather to worry about for rust.

Next up is the intake side of things. The intercooler is very very nice. Thanks to the girlfriend for getting me a new Makita Lithium 4 piece tool set for my birthday in September

Close up of the intercooler

I have other pictures in my gallery.

integrate that on the intakes then and keep it at the same price or cheaper than the k&n and I'm sure you'll corner that market, let me know when you do that and I'll be the first in line, as long as the price is reasonable

looking at your charge pipe that bov looks like needs to be removed for oil filter changes, and how come all the other intakes look like they have huge piping and smaller turbo attachment at the turbo and yours looks the opposite it's small looking pipe and the turbo connection side of the elbow looks huge?, why so much difference?, I'm really interested on the intake and cp, but it looks so different from all the others that makes me wonder if they are just for looks

have you ever changed your oil?, unless you're the rubber dude from the fantatic 4, you can't change the filter from the bottom of the car, lol, the reason I asked is cause it looks like it sits right over the filter housing by looking at the pics in their site

I see an orange fram filter in your pic so I see why you wouldn't need to remove it, to change the oil, lol, but even then it would be dificult to reach that from the bottom, lol
