I have a 2010 ss/tc and im looking for a place to buy a hood bra. The roads out here are killing my front end and im looking for a place to get one. Only ones i found are for 2009s wasnt sure if it would fit

 

why not get a clear tint bra? they're great.

 

Are they legal, clear is see through.

My clear bra has really saved the front end compared to the last car I owned and will for sure do it to the next new car I buy. The downsides are the cost (about $600), some of the edges collect dirt (not many people will notice) and in the right light, it sticks out that people say what's that? However I'm not sure if it can be put on and not bubble if you already have chips.

 

yes its legal lol. Its like tints but its clear and goes on your bumper and hood/fenders.

Yea my friend with a porsche gt3 clear bra'd his whole car for like 3 grand. Its worth it if you're going to canyon a lot or just live in those types of areas.

 

Ya i rather just buy a hood bra not tryin to spend 300-400 a year to put a clear tint on my car when i can spend like 200 to just get a hood bra. Idc if it looks terrible it would be saving my front end

 

its only once, you dont have to do it yearly lol. once the clear bra is on you're set. Spend the extra 100 trust me its worth it.

yea man, rocks are not friends lol. They really chip the hell out of it! I gotta get a clear bra soon before i go canyoning again.

 

yeah the clear bras are sickkk> U barely notice them, and they blend in to the car very well. its just like a layer of clear vynil that gets put on the front bumper and some of the hood. it prevents rock chips and most little dings and scratches from happeneing. Its best to do when your car is pretty well brand new. its a one time deal. put it on and forget about it. do it over one of those shitty black hoodbra's. they are an eye sore. The clear bra will look like a stock car without rock chips :P

I heard they bring back the chair just for those who use a clear bra.

 

car bras hold dirt between your paint and the bra, and it rubs your clear coat, scratches the **** out of the paint, and when you take it off, your car will be 2-toned as the paint under the bra will not have faded and the other paint would have. get the clear stuff

any place that does window tinting will have clear tints, and will be able to do a clear bra. make sure you go to a place that has lifetime warranty on their work.

So I know everyone loves the clear bumper and hood protector . But the do them at my dealership and we use the good one 3M . Problem with them is they are too good. They also block UV rays , awesome you might think. Well it is until your car has had it on there for a couple years and the rest of you paint is uv faded and the part underneath looks like the day it was painted. Bottom line great for stopping those little chips but it still has it's downfalls.
