The hose clamp that is on the vacum line that connects to the bpv is sideways, its going to be a bitch to unclamp.

90* bent extra long nose pliers. No car guy should be without them.

I don't have a pic but the vac line connects into the nipple of the forge bpv. Just disconnect from the factory one and place it on the new one.

It wouldn't work if the vac line wasn't connected.

its pretty basic.

Take out the 3 screws.
take off the vac line.
but the forge in with the opening facing down.
3 screws back in.
connect the vac line and your done.

much easier if you take the intake out.

Yeah, what these guys said. It was the easiest upgrade ive done so far. I have the kn intake and I didnt even take off the intake. Honestly taking off the intake wouldnt have made it any easier, it wasnt in my way. The hardest part was getting the vac line off. That sucker didnt want to let go of that nipple.

What exactly is this Forge BPV supposed to do? Just noise, or does it actually increase power or boost? Any solid figures on what, if anything, it does?

It's mostly just a stock replacement. The stock BPV can rip and occasionally stick. The Forge BPV is just a better alternative.

How much fun is it trying to get the bolts back into the new BPV?

Haven't done this yet, bit seems like it'd be a bitch to start threading.
I can see me dropping bolts an swearing many times...

To clarify even further since this is what I was asking while reading the thread. Do you face the opening towards the firewall or towards the radiator?
