How to Install GlowShift Oil Temp Gauge?

Hi I have been looking everywhere to figure out how to install GlowShifts Elite 10 Series Oil Temp Gauge. I have seen a forum for an electric oil pressure gauge which is electric so it is of no use as far as I am aware for me. Does anyone have any idea how to install it? Is there a sandwich plate available for cobalts? Or do I follow that one forum and just use a T off and put the sensor for the gauge into the T? But would that not mess with the pressure?

I have a 2008 Chevy Cobalt ss Turbocharged with a 2010 Engine and turbo put in.

Oh oops. On lnf there is a galley plug on the block on the turbo compressor side of the block. That's the easiest too get to. Don t use a head port cause people have had them break off

I have taken a look at the thread and have realized something quite confusing. I do not have this oil pressure sending unit? I have looked absolutely everywhere under there and cannot find it. This might answer why my OBDII reader can not read oil pressure or temp? So where is a galley plug I can tap into for an oil temp with the oil temp probe?

,

It isn't really a pressure sensor as it is an all or nothing type sensor to activate your oil light if pressure dips below a certain psi. It is located right under the oil filter housing and will look different then a pressure sensor. .

Ur oil temp sensor is in front of the block under oil filter housing. I know the thread is about oil pressure but u use the same holes for oil temp, u just need the adapter fitting linked to on the first page of the thread

Ok first, u need to buy this
Autometer Electric Temperature or Pressure 1/8" NPT to M12x1.75 Ecotec Oil Feed Adapter - Interior

Next u unscrew the plug circled in blue, water pipe will be running past it so it may be a little difficult but u can do it
oilfittings.jpg Photo by balmung92003 | Photobucket

Screw the adapter fitting into the port with some thread sealer on the threads, then screw ur sensor for oil temp into the 1/8 npt port on the adapter with some thread sealent on threads . easy peasy. If u cant figure it out from this Then I cant help u more

There are 2 usable ports in the back, and 3 in the front, the one on drivers side is used by stock oil pressure switch. The middle front is easy to do but ud have to remove intake manifold too get too it. Back ones are by exhaust mani so its high heat area. And yes u just screw em in, run wires to your gauge and all done

put in allen wrench, one on socket is easiest, and turn counter clockwise. same as any other bolt or plug or screw
