That’s too vague of a question. There isn't enough information here. If you’re driving it erratically the answer is not very long.

This is nearly impossible to answer. Could be one pull, could be 20yrs. Too many variables. Don't expect it to be reliable at the very least.

Way too many variables, if you drive it like a grandma I don't see why it wouldn't last as many miles as a normal LNF would... if you are driving daily at WOT using all the horsies then I don't see it lasting long before needing new internals.

Anytime you mod a vehicle like this with a bigger turbo, your reliability goes down. Now will it blow immediately? nobody knows, there's too many variables.

Answer this, and I'll answer your question. When will I die?

If you are asking a question like that then perhaps the zfr isn't suited for you lol

It'll last for a long time. You'll probably be running less boost pressure and still getting more power. You're clutch is the only thing I see giving you any issue, which will keep your tranny alive.

Most sensible answer here.

Car could be tuned by a 5 year old with a LeapFrog while 3 quarts low on oil for all we know.

Stock internals? Who is tuning you? What are your driving characteristics?

I think modern engines dont have the bearing and ring wear of engines past due to superior gasket and ring sealing. I may be wrong, but I dont see how a 30,000 mile motor or an 80,000 mile motor would really be all that different unless its abused daily. I havent had a bearing or ring failure in anything in a long time. I'd think if boost is kept to something reasonable you will be fine. This being my OPINION of course.

If you want my opinion, I wouldn't do it. If I were in your shoes, I'd be saving for a new car at this point. Once a car hit 50k miles, I start saving until it dies or I'm ready for something new.

I'm at 29k right now, what ever mods I can't get done by 50k it is where it stays. I will begin saving!

...or if it does blow then have enough for a new built engine. Engine < cost of a whole car, if you're wanting to hold onto it.

My piston went at ~72,000 miles. I've put ~10,000 more miles on my built one so far. I'll probably DD something else in the future, but I'd like to hold onto the car for its unique nature and fun factor. Nothing gets you pumped about the SS/TC like driving something else for a while and then driving it again. lol

Nice haha

My question was going to be why amount of boost wasn't stated? 3psi or 300? who knows....

**off topic but Ive never seen a red HHR SS around town before. Lived in Holland/Zeeland for 20 years until about 2 months ago. You ever check out the Todd Wenzel or Berger Chevy Shows??? Love to see it sometime Guy with a Black one shows up at both every year.

Ill let you know lol im throwing the zfr on my motor in feb, it currently has 100k mi on it. If it doesnt last long, a built motor will come sooner than later. Been tuned on 24 psi since 5k miles also
